Baguio Trip 2015: Pine Breeze Cottages, Wright Park, and Ketchup Food Community

Baguio Trip 2015
Obligatory photo at the “Lion’s head in Kennon Road”

We went for to Baguio last week and stayed there overnight. What prompted our trip was to fix the registration of Ianne A., our beloved Innova. It was already paid last year but with the house construction  and all that happened we were too busy to take care of it. We thought it best to take advantage of the holiday in Metro Manila last week, to go up north where government offices are open. Our main goal in going to Baguio is to go to LTO Baguio, where Ianne A. was originally registered, and have them remove the encumbered on the Original Certificate of Registration (OR CR). Of course, we planned some galivanting and food tripping on the side too!

We left Caloocan at 3am-ish and arrived in Baguio at lunch time. We encountered some traffic along the way, but no more when we entered TPLEX. Despite the Snack stopover and the many chichiryas we ate on the way, we were famished — specially our designated driver: peanutbutter — the moment we arrived in Baguio.

Our first stop? O’ Mai Khan for their Mongolian Buffet!

Wright Park

After lunch, we immediately headed to LTO Baguio and waited until our registration papers were processed. While it was being processed, Sis and Ykaie went to Wright Park which was just nearby.

Ykaie rode this funky-looking horse for 30 minutes and she couldn’t get enough.

Sis, Ykaie and I were all wearing animal prints that day but Ykaie was the cutest!

Shirt is from Terranova Kids and her boots are from Sugarkids. Everything else including the earmuffs are from Divisoria.

Ketchup Food Community

After the horse ride, we met at Ketchup Food Community right acrosss Wright Park.

peanutbutter has been craving for Laksa for weeks now, and so he went in for a bowl at Rumah Sate. His cravings wasn’t satisfied and we had to cook Prawn Laksa at home this week.

Pine Breeze Cottages

We stayed at Pine Breeze Cottages over at Bukawkan Road. The room we got was the Deluxe Room with no kitchen for ₱1,880.

It has a double bed and  asingle bed with a pull-out. Just right for four people.

It has a tv and toilet and bath with water heater. Water heater in the shower is a must-have when you’re in Baguio at this time of the month!

We stayed at Pine Breeze Cottages for just one night. We stayed there just to rest before dinner and to sleep for the night.

Here’s a shot outside of our room. It was over-looking many houses with their lights turned on for the night. It was quite a view and a peaceful one at that.

  1. You guys must be super tired. I did an overnight Baguio trip ( work-related ) last October and boy was a very tired after. But then, Baguio never disappoints – it really is still one of the most beautiful places in our country.

I love that we already have TPLEX. Traffic just gets bad so bad in Urdaneta, Pangasinan. I’ve heard of Pine Breeze Cottages – it was brought up several times in a meeting this week for upcoming work-related Baguio trips for big groups.

  6. I have been to Baguio several times but yet to explore new eats such as the Ketchup community. Sad over the news of pine trees taken down because of SM. Hay.
