A “NO” to smell things..

I always try to teach ykaie the singular and plural terms of the things around us. Today, We were trying to learn the singular and plural terms of the different parts of the body.

ME: {pointing to her feet} What are those?

YKAIE: feet

ME: When it’s just one feet??

YKAIE: foot

ME: very good. What do you call these?

{pointing to my teeth}

YKAIE: teeth

ME: When it’s just one teeth??

YKAIE: tooth

ME: Very Good. How about this? {I pointed to my eyes}

YKAIE: eyeballs

ME: you just call them eyes. How about this? {pointing to my nose}

she paused to think for a moment and then she replied..

YKAIE: No

Sis and I laughed our bellies out. Ykaie thought that because the word “nose” has a letter s at the end, it is already the plural term and because I pointed to my nose, which is just one nose, she had to remove the ‘S”..so her answer to me was “NO” for one “NOSE”,hee.
