Makahiya Hunting {Bashful Mimosa}

I’ve had a lot of fun playing with Makahiya or Bashful Mimosa as a child. As the name makahiya implies, this plant is very sensitive that the leaves contract and appear to wilt upon human touch but then open up again a short time later. When I was a child I use to look for Makahiya and touch all of them. I get a lot of joy when I see the leaves contract and I know Ykaie will also enjoy playing with them too.

So when I saw makahiya at some of the vacant lots near the house of my CIL when we went there for her house blessing, I showed them to Ykaie. I told her the stories of how I used to play with them as a child.

Now I think she is addicted to makahiya, LOL! She goes makahiya-hunting whenever she sees patches of grass.
