When we arrived at the HongKong Airport, our main concern is to meet the tour guide who will take us to our hotel. Good thing there are designated meeting spots so we immediately located him.
I know I looked pretty banged up for a 2-hour flight..LOL!
Since we were planning to go to a lot of places, we purchased Octopus Cards at the airport. The colorful ones are for peanutbutter and me {priced at HKD 150} and the pink is for Ykaie {priced at HKD 70}.
Octopus Cards are magnetic cards which you use in the MTR or Mass Transit Railways {Like LRT and MRT here}. It can also be used to buy food and products at the 7-11, McDonalds and other establishments. It is like a universal card. If it runs out of money, you can have it reloaded at the MTR stations and if it still has money when you’re leaving HK, you can return it at the airport and get a refund with what’s left.
I didn’t have it refunded, though. I used the leftover load to buy some “pasalubongs” {travel gift}.
This is our first out-of-the-country trip as a family {peanutbutter♥, ykaie and me}. It was a very exciting experience….this one of the {little and big} adventures that I wanted to experience with peanutbutter♥ and ykaie. Everything is just more fun and more exciting when I do it with them…
