Simply Butterfly Conservation Center, Bohol

Simply Butterflies Conservation is located in Bilar, Bohol. It’s main goal is to raise the butterfly population in Bohol and  of course, contribute money to the local economy by using butterflies and its by-products. The entrance fee for adults is P30 and for children 4-10 years old, it’s only P5.

They gave us an educational tour telling us the biggest butterfly, the difference between a moth and a butterfly and of course showed some caterpillars, chrysalis and all other things about butterflies.

He even let ykaie hold the different kinds of caterpillars….

Then he took us to the Butterfly Garden and the Butterfly Enclosure, home of over 60 species of butterflies. This particular butterfly that he showed us smells like chocolate. Yup, I sniffed..LOL!

The butterflies in the Butterfly Enclosure are very friendly. You can play with them or just watch them while sitting on the seats provided which are scattered around the area.

There is a Picnic Area in the Conservation Center where families can bond while eating their “baon” {food they brought} and if you didn’t bring any food and you got hungry or thirsty, there’s also a restaurant inside where you can buy food, drinks and their very own Madame Butterfly Ice Cream.
