The last time I’ve been to the Children’s Playground was last March 2009. I brought one-year old ykaie to see the playground. Back then the playground looks sad because the paints are old and they were already chipped. Good thing it was renovated and restored by the Department of Tourism through the National Parks Development Committee late last year. Now, children can enjoy a beautiful playground at a very affordable price.

Last month, Sis and I took Ykaie, Thea and Cyra to the Children’s Playground. The entrance for both adult and child is P10.

I can still remember my tatay {father} taking me and my cousin Karen here a long time ago. The entrance fee back then was around P1 per person. Can you imagine how cheap it was? Tatay would let us play around the park to our heart’s content. Then he would buy us dirty ice creams and would treat us to Lugaw {Congee}. Yeah, I don’t think there was a Jollibee near the park at that time and I guess tatay is too stingy {kuripot}. LOL!
But those were real fun times!

Now, it’s ykaie’s turn to have fun with her cousins at the playground.

This giant shoe reminded me of a nursery rhyme:
“There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn’t know what to do.
She gave them some broth without any bread;
And whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.”

Ykaie went up the top of the giant shoe but cried because she doesn’t know how to go down the step ladder. I went inside to get her and brought her down.

It’s a good thing that now there are stores selling snacks inside the playground where you can buy chips, hotdogs, candies, siopao, sodas and snow cones!

Looks like the pumpkin has a worm inside…..ooops, it’s ykaie.
AT THE SLIDES:

Ykaie is sliding like a worm…..LOL!

Pretty little monkeys at the monkey bars!
After the kids got tired, we were all sweat, dirt and smiles!!
And the question of the day is: When are we going back??
Oh well, another option for kids this summer is kids hockey, check out “Skates HQ’s reviews” to find the best gear for children.

Wow ni-renovate pala ang playground. In fairness, pinupuntahan din namin yan nung mga bata pa kami. Pasyalan ng bayan hehehe.
