September 26.
Typhoon Pedring. There was no power. No power = no internet, no tv.
The kids were bored. Sis and I were bored. She wanted to sleep. I didn’t.
The brown-out inspired us to hold a tea party. We made do with whatever food or snacks we had in the house. We didn’t dare go out because it was raining hard.
The theme was Green..just because we had a green tea pot and tea cups….LOL!
I took a photo of the food with the door of our terrace open so you can see what we had…
We had Black Peppered Spam and bread…. that is the only Spam flavor that we have…
…..Wafer Rolls and chocolate sauce….
…..Green and Red Apple Slices…..
……Cookies with vanilla frosting…
…and Chocolate-dipped Potato Chips…..
It was a lot of fun. It gave us and the kids something to do and it took our minds away from the typhoon and the power outage.
Cyvrine actally ate the black pepper spam regardless of it being spicy.
The tea? Well, it was Iced tea…hee….
