A Glimpse of my Potipot Island Experience

I never liked camping or the idea of “roughing it” but when  sis asked me to go to Potipot Island this weekend, I said yes. We were  going to Subic anyway, might as well drop by the place since I’ve heard so much about the island. Both good and bad reviews.

I didn’t set any expectations, I don’t like going somewhere without electricity. But just as I expected, Potipot Island is naturally very beautiful. The water around it is clear and there’s fine white sand on it’s shoreline.

The problem is that the owner of the island charges for entrance fee but they don’t maintain the cleanliness of the area. It could seriously use a trash pump. Or they should have at least hired someone to clean the restrooms and rake the leaves.

With the way things are going, that natural beauty will soon fade away if they don’t take care of it.
