Grand Villa Resort and Butterfly Center ~ Laguna {Part 1}

Sis was feeling generous and treated the whole bunch for an overnight stay at Grand Villa Resort and Butterfly Center. She found this as a groupon deal costing P1,750 for 2D/1N accommodation for 3 persons, with free breakfast , use of resort facilities, Butterfly Garden tour and access to  the newly opened Aviary in which children below 12 years old are free of charge.

Check-in time was 2pm but we arrived there at around 11am. They were very strict with their rules of not allowing early check-in for their guests even though the rooms weren’t occupied. As a guest, I didn’t feel that “welcome” at the resort at all. The staff at the lobby isn’t very friendly as well. It was a hot summer and we had  a lot of kids with us. At around 1:45, sis approached the staff at the lobby if we could check-in. She told us to wait for 15 more minutes.

Finally, at 2pm they took us to our rooms….

Our room had three single beds, a/c and tv. It’s a little old and has an eerie bahay-ni-lola feel.

Heck, the whole resort has an eerie bahay-ni-lola- feel!

The toilet and bath looks like it was newly renovated. I didn’t have any problem with it at all.

Going to our room was this building of rooms. It reminds me of an old elementary school with a quadrangle….and knowing how wild my imagination can be specially at night time. It felt creepy passing by here, like a White Lady’s gonna show up asking for directions or somebody’s gonna call my name.

Don’t get me wrong. There are nice spots around in the resort. Like this mermaid fountain….

We were already there and we had to make the most out of it….

Next post: Swimming time!
