Pepsi Launches “Fat-Blocking” Cola in Japan

I’ve just read about Pepsi launching a fat-blocking version of their cola in Japan.

They said that it is made with an indigestible form of dextrin or dietary fiber and  that it reduces the absorption of fat in the body from food intake and help lower cholesterol levels.

I’m sure this is going to be a big hit since a lot of people nowadays are conscious about being fat. But why do you think they launched it in Japan?

  1. I am not a Pepsi fan but if ever it will become available here in our country I will buy some. Drinking soda without being guilty is something I have to celebrate. hahaha

  2. Wow, this would really be a good news for softdrink lovers but are at the same time afraid they’ll get fat.  I have no idea why they launched it first in Japan– there should be a good reason for that. 🙂

  3. Hhehe I smile with PinayJade’s comment but that is also a questionable thing might be because they sell a lot of it…

  4. I am so not sure about this product though, but I would rather just drink water. I am not so sure why they launched it in Japan, but it might not be long they will have it available in the USA as well.

  5. very interesting soda. and if it is really effective on what they claim to help reduce fat, then this will be a big hit.
