If you will notice, kids nowadays are more adept in using computers, mobile phones and tablets. Maybe this is due to the fact that they are born in the age where technology is advanced and being children, they adapt more easily.
When Ykaie, my daughter, was born, we put up a small internet café. Sometimes that’s where I put her to sleep because I’m the person in charge of running it while my husband went to work. At a little over 1 year old, I started letting her watch her morning cartoons at my computer so I could keep an eye on her while I do my “job”. She easily learned how to navigate the mouse and the keyboard. Before she was 2 years old, she already knows how to shut down the computers. And when a customer is done renting, I could easily ask her to shut it down.
At times, when we’re not at the café, she would borrow my mobile phone and play with the games in it. She would ask me just once to teach her how to play a game and she would know the game even better than me. I even gave her my old cellphone because she also loves taking photos of things…just like mommy. {Well, I also thought I could call her in case of emergency}
Today, she’s excitedly waiting for daddy to come home because of daddy’s graduation gift to her — an iPad! can you imagine a five year old asking for an iPad as a gift?

My son uses his Dad’s iPad every weekend. I haven’t touched it, though; I don’t even have an idea how to switch it on and off. Lol! Kids these days are so smart!
