My sister was responsible for booking a 3D/2N trip to two nice resorts. We were to spend one night in Cintai Coritos in Balete, Batangas and one night here in Tidewater Resort. Guess what, she looked at google maps to estimate how near this resorts were to each other. She said that that it looked like Tidewater Resort was just nearby the vicinity of Cintai Coritos Garden. It turned out that this was more than two hours away! We were so tired from the trip specially peanutbutter♥ who was our designated driver.
Since Matabungkay Beach is the nearest white sand beach from the metro, many people opt to go here. Going to Tidewater Resort, we passed by many private resorts along the way. But all of these private resorts share this one stretch of white sand that is Matabungkay.
When We Arrived
This is what we looked like when we arrived. We were tired, hungry, and fashionably green…heehee. You’d think we are modeling something for plants. We brought sandwiches, drinks and our own food because the resort doesn’t have any restaurants. You have bring your own ingredients and cook your own food.
The ambience was quiet and relaxing because we were the only guests at the resort that day. It was like we rented the place! peanutbutter♥ settled himself down at the hammock beside the pool. He needed some rest after driving for two hours. Meanwhile, I went to look around and take photos.
Our Room
Since we are a big group and we’ll be staying there for only one night, Sis got us the Barkada Room. It’s a big room with four double-deck beds which can accommodate 10-12 people.
This barkada room costs ₱ 7,000 per night.
Ykaie and Cyra asked if they could sleep at one of the top bunks. I said yes and nudged them on the one with one of it’s sides attached to the wall for safety measure.
The Barkada room is a separate structure from the main building providing the privacy and convenience of staying in your own “villa”. It also has a small lanai in front.
The Kitchen
This is the kitchen to be shared by all the guests at the resort. There is a fridge, microwave oven, rice cookers, oven toasters, pots and pans. Just bring paper plates, disposable cups and utensils because they don’t provide it.
We named and labeled all of our food, condiments, and some utensils like knives and serving spoons just in case there are other guests aside from us.
