Happy New Year! I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much in this blog as much as I would like. There are just so many things that I wanted to share in all areas of my life (specially in food) that I’m almost always out of time and energy.
Hopefully I can change that this year. One of my goals, aside from healthy eating and saving more money, is to update my blogs often. Aside from that, I think our marriage also needs goals. We have a lot of things that we can improve on since peanutbutter♥ and I agreed that he can quit being an OFW this year and work here for good. That means we would be together 24/7. I’m sure there would be sweet happy moments and a lot of disagreements because he and I are completely opposite.
So let me list down some things to work on our marriage this year.
1. Spend More Time Together
I’ve blogged about how our date nights use to be. And it’s one of the things that I miss. I would love to spend more time with my peanutbutter♥ this year. It doesn’t matter if it’s on a real date night like going out or watching a movie. It’s awesome too if we can just spend a “just-us-time” at home. I want to talk to him for hours. I want to laugh with him. I want us to dine together and be our old self.
2. Have a Stronger Faith
There is nothing more I could ask for because God has blessed me with a husband who was able to restore my faith in Him. It’s a long story, one that I don’t really discuss here, but this year, I want us to practice our faith together and as a family. I know it will make our relationship stronger.
3. Learn How To Resolve Conflicts Peacefully
I, for one, am not a peaceful person when I’m angry. I have a tendency to yell or give the silent treatment. This year, I want to be a better spouse by working on a resolution instead of doing all the other things I do. I want us to have a healthy communication on whatever conflict may arise.
4. More I love you’s and Working as a Team
This we already do but I want us to keep doing it and more.
5. Cook Healthier Meals
Yes, one of my resolutions for a happy healthier marriage is to cook healthier meals. Well, this goes not just for us but for the whole family. We’ve been eating a lot of sweets, chips, and cookies. Both our families has a history of diabetes, it’s about time we change our eating habits.
6. Travel More
I do hope and pray that we can set aside a budget so we can go out of town once a month or once every other month. It would be refreshing to experience traveling with him on different times of the year and not just during Summer.
Our marriage is turning Seven this year and I just want to give my 100% to my peanutbutter♥. After all, he is the best thing that ever happened to me.

They said opposite attracts right? 😀 that’s why you and your peanutbutter are together because you have something in common, it may not be 99% but that helps you to fall in love with each other 😀
