Open your presents at Christmastime but be thankful year round for the gifts you receive. ~Terri Guillemets
It’s the first of June. For me, it signifies that we’re halfway through the year. Going through my Gratitude List archive made me realize that I haven’t made a list of all the things to be thankful for in months! My last gratitude post was written December last year. I have been blessed with a lot of things and I know that I should be thankful for each and every one of those things.
I am, again, planning on being more active in writing a weekly gratitude list just like before just so I get reminded of how blessed I am. This time I feel that I can really commit into posting and writing a weekly list specially because I’ve completely given up two of my blogs: http://www.peachyness.com ( which supposedly my health and wellness blog) and http://www.peachandthings.com, my mixed-up crazy blog. I used to have five blogs and now, I’m down to three : this: Mommy Peach, The Peach Kitchen, and The Wandering Peach.
Let’s get down to my list, shall we?
♥ The first thing I’m thankful for is that our soon-to-be-home is now 38% complete. The reconstruction of our home started last March and is expected to be finished in August. Yay! I’m super excited.
♥ It is getting really hot. I think this Summer wants us to be all fried but thank God for spontaneous showers like these. Ykaie, Cyra, and Cyvrine loves bathing and playing in the rain. I was at the terrace when I took this photo.
♥ I’m thankful for the feature at Working Mom Magazine last year. Prior to that, I hated smiling with my teeth showing. Since then, I’ve begun appreciating this kind of smile… Cheeeeeeeese!
♥ I’m thankful for friends who’s almost a sister to me — like Brenice. We went out and celebrated her birthday last monday. We ate at Mango Tree Bistro in Trinoma and had coffee at CBTL. It was such a blast and I can’t wait until our next day out. Hope our other friends could join us next time.
♥ I’m always thankful for food bonding with the gehls… eventhough I know that we can never ever eat a giant pizza as big as this one.
We bonded over waffles — Choco Banana ones, specfically– last week….And some Tofu Chip Nachos, and Taho and Malungay pesto pasta…..
Oh, and we found a new takoyaki to love — Tamayaki! We love hanging out at Tamayaki!
Lats but not the least….
♥ I’m SUPER thankful that my peanutbutter♥ is coming home for good this month. (Whaaaat?!) Yeah, he is. I’m very excited because I missed him so so so much. Working overseas is a sacrifice but everything must come to an end. It’s time to be home with us.
So I guess from now on you’ll be seeing a lot of him in this blog. Weeee!

I really love the idea of gratitude journals. It gives us a great perspective of all that’s going well in our lives. I believe that optimism is the way to go, and by knowing what you have to be thankful for, it is easier to approach each day with a positive outlook. 🙂 So nice to see that you have a lot to be grateful for.
Mommy Peach says
Thanks Patty!

One of the best things I started this year was to create a 365 worship photo project. It really made me more aware about being thankful for the little things 🙂

I think I have to start one next year..
