Baguio Trip 2015: Burnham Park and Strawberry Fields

We headed out to Cafe By The Ruins for dinner at 7pm. There was already a long line of people when we got there and when I tried to reserve a table, I was told that reservations was already closed. We decided to just eat there at breakfast the next day. Since it’s holiday and there were lots of bakasyonistas from Manila, the other restaurants like Good Taste and Sizzling Plate have long lines of people waiting for dinner as well.

I don’t know how we got to Burnham Park but we did. We strolled around and took photos while thinking of a place to eat.

We strolled some more and took photos until we saw this line of Ihaw-Ihaw Stores across the park.

That’s where we had a dinner of Grilled Pork Belly, Papaitan, and Grilled Fish.

OOTD

I know she should’ve worn this while picking strawberries from Strawberry Fields but she already had an outfit the next day. It was bought just that afternoon at Mines View Park.

It has a terno strawberry wallet too!

Tambay at McDonalds

Since we weren’t able to eat at Cafe By the Ruins for dinner, we made sure to be there early to make sure we have a table for breakfast. The thing was we were too early, and Cafe By The Ruins was still closed. It was really really cold that we went to nearby McDonald’s to have hot chocolate while waiting.

Ykaie decided to have a Happy Meal Pancake breakfast instead of just hot chocolate…. She got the Tom Egg Cup toy to go with her meal.

On the way to Cafe By The Ruins….

Strawberry Fields

After a satisfying breakfast, we took a taxi to Strawberry Fields. One kilo of Strawberries costs ₱150 – ₱170 but if you’re picking it, it jumps up to ₱400 per kilo.

Ykaie wanted to pick her own Strawberries so sis took her to the field while peanutbutter and I checked out the veggies and other items being sold in the nearby stores.

Ykaie had a lot of fun picking out her strawberries…

Check out this odd shaped one…..

AAARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

A kilo of carefully chosen strawberries….

Oh how I wish Strawberry Fields is just nearby! I would have loved to eat strawberries every single day…
