Another tourist attraction in Baguio is the Mines View Park. We were able to drop by there before checking in at Pine Breeze Cottage.
Mines View Park is one of the most popular and most visited place in Baguio. We spotted this painting along the entrance where the stalls selling native handicrafts and food pasalubongs are. And we decided to have a wacky shot taken.
Ykaie posing with the Everlasting flowers…
Two shots with these St. Bernards ₱50. Aren’t they cool, yo?
You can rent out Ifugao costumes for ₱20 too and take unlimited photos! The owners are the ones who are going to dress you up.
Do we look like Ifugaos now? I like the beaded necklace they let me wear.
This si the observation deck of the park. In here you can see a panoramic view of Benguet’s gold and copper mines and the surrounding mountains. Ykaie was ablr to rent binocular for ₱10 for 5 minutes. We didn’t stay long, though.
On the way out, I saw these green mangoes sold at ₱60/pesos a piece. I bought one and have them put bagoong!
I also sprinkled some spicy salt on top of it….
It was the highlight o my day…LOL!

I guess visiting Baguio will never be complete without paying a visit to Mines View park…..surely you’ve got a great family bonding time…:)
Yes we did Jojo!
Eh tinakam mo ako sa mangga! Buti nung pumunta kayo, hindi gaanong marami ang tao.
oo nga eh.holiday pa naman nun.
I’ve been to Manila several times since 1975 and also to Pampanga, but I got no chance of going to the city of pines, Baguio.
I hope you get to go soon.
Funny thing that I was able to explore mines view not when I was still in Baguio but when I was already in Manila touring Manila based friends.
Really?
I noticed that green mangoes are a huge hit in Baguio. I did see a lot sold in Burnham Park when I was there 2 weeks ago. I will try the Ifugao costume next time.
It’s really cheap lang P20/rent.
Baguio is one of my bucket list. I hope I will visit the place with my family someday. Sis, your daughter is getting so big. I love the native outfits, it looks so cool.
Thanks Sis!
I love how your tour turned out to be the most memorable time for your family. 🙂
Thanks Sef!
Looks like a worth place to travel. The fruits are so fresh. I’m sure the weather is perfect compare to other cities in the Philippines.
Yeah. it’s cold there and they have lots of strawberries at cheap prices
Baguio is a great place to have fun with family. I’ve been there a lot and I always bring my family every time I go there. I especially love the cold weather there. I guess that’s one reason why we keep on coming back.
Super love the cold weather in Baguio
It’s always fun to be in Mines View with the food, the views and the many photo opportunities.
Yeah! We really had fun there!
Baguio is part of my bucket list. I’ve always wanted to go to Mines View Park and Camp John Hay.
When do you plan on going?
The place seems like a lot of fun, and the St. Bernards were really cute!!!!!!! By the way, what’s “bagoong”?
Bagoong is shrimp paste 🙂
I always wanted to go to Baguio but going there if you are from Cebu takes a lot of time… but I know the view will always be worth it
