We are Magnum monsters here at home. Whenever peanutbutter♥ fetches Ykaie fom school, they always drop by the nearby 7/11 or mini-stop just to buy three pieces of Magnum, one for each of us. It’s our favorite ice cream and we love it because of its signature crackling belgian chocolate that covers the ice cream bar.
When I received an invite for Magnum Infinity, I didn’t think twice and said yes.
The Magnum Infinity launch was held at the Sub-Zero Test Kitchen in BGC. The test kitchen has a classy and modern set-up with chocolate blocks and fresh raspberries as the table centerpiece. The aroma of chocolate was in the air! I had to keep myself from grabbing those blocks of chocolate and eating them right then and there.
A cocktail made of cucumber and lychee was served as an aperitif and to cleanse the palate. It was a bit on the sour side and I loved it.
Chef Jory Navarra of Toyo Eatery curated our meals that day. He was tasked to incorporate chocolate as the main ingredients in our meal.
Our appetizer was cauliflower flan with sea urchin, dark chocolate and coffee. It was different experience eating a flan that is savory but every flavor worked together and brought out a dish that’s umami and rich with the flavors of both the sea and the land.
The main dish was an 80% chocolate dish with black wagyu beef, creamy potato with squid ink, vermicelli, cocoa nibs, and dried fish. Again, a weird combination but everything worked together. The cocoa nibs provided a crunchy texture in contrast to the creaminess of the potato. It was an excellent dish if I may say so.. one which I savored slowly.
Dessert was of course the new Magnum Infinity which comes in two flavors: Chocolate & Caramel, made with silky chocolate ice cream and a luscious sea salt caramel swirl; and Chocolate & Raspberry, made with decadent chocolate ice cream and a fruity raspberry swirl.
The NEW Magnum Infinity has intense chocolate pleasure that stays with you longer. It’s made with two times more cocoa than a Magnum Classic, the NEW Magnum Infinity delivers double the chocolate indulgence, for a rich, intense chocolate experience that lasts. Being mixed with a special and rare source of Tanzanian cocoa, it is surely the most chocolatey Magnum ever.
The NEW Magnum Infinity offers an indulgent ice cream and intense chocolate affair that will heighten your mood,
and set your senses into overdrive with its lasting, deep chocolate sensation.
My favorite is the Chocolate and Raspberry! I couldn’t get enough of it.
Magnum Infinity Caramel and Magnum Infinity Raspberry are now available in all leading supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide.
