One of our family’s main problem is that we could be aptly called “Sneezy Family”. peanutbutter♥ and Twinkle gets colds and sneezes frequently whenever there’s dusts or sudden temperature changes. When that happens their noses gets frequently blocked. You can tell our Twinkle’s nose is blocked because she breathes through her mouth. We use regular nasal sprays so she can breathe properly. But I discovered something when I attended the Humerific Day event.
I learned that Nasal Hygiene should be like Oral Hygiene. If the mouth needs a toothbrush, the nose definitely needs something to clean it too! If you brush your teeth everyday, then you should establish a cleaning routine for your nose as well like after taking a bath.
Establishing a Cleaning Routine For Your Nose
Establishing a cleaning routine for your nose is highly important if you want to be able to breathe better. And it all starts with clean and healthy living, of course! Here are some tips too get you started on proper nasal hygiene:
- Maintain a Clean Home – clean your house and dust regularly. Don’t let dust accumulate on objects around the house because you might inhale it and cause allergies.
- Avoid Cigarette Smoke – Quit smoking if you are smoking and avoid second hand smoke if you’re not.
- Clean Aircon Filters Regularly
- Clean Your Carpets Regularly
- Use a natural sea water spray such as Humer Sea Water Spray, a product range which consists of natural seawater nasal sprays that gently clean the nose. It rapidly moisturizes the dry mucus that makes breathing a lot BETTER. It has a non-diluted formula that retains the seawater’s marine trace elements compared to other saline and seawater spray.
I’ve used the Pink Humer Sea Water Spray infant bottle on Twinkle’s nose. I love that it has a specific nozzle with a safety ring preventing the nozzle from going all in. It’s ideal for infants because you can easily use it no matter what position, even when lying down.
Ate Ykaie, also tried using the Pink Humer Sea Water Spray. She said that it’s very easy to use because all you have to do is give it a quick press and the undiluted seawater comes out.
peanutbutter♥ has been using it for a couple of days and I also tried using it but we’ve refrained from doing so. Know why? because ever since we’ve tried using the blue Humer Nasal Hygiene, we were having a better breathing experience! It is indeed very much like Oral Hygiene, you know how nice it feels to eat, talk, and sleep when you have a clean mouth? That’s how nice it feels to breathe when you have a clean nose!
I am very happy to say that I am now a 100% Humerific Mom! We are 100% Humerific Family!
Humer is available in leading Mercury Drug store outlets in Metro Manila.

I would much rather use a product like this than to take a prescription medication. I need to see if I can locate this in my local pharmacy.
I ask my doctor about the use of this product for nasal hygiene, but if you recommend it sure is good.
This spray looks cool! Maybe i will try this. 🙂
These are helpful ideas. The construction work nearby kicks up a lot of dust and that can’t be too good for our noses!
Looks like a good spray. I would check this out
Oooo great suggestions!!! I will have to check out this spray. Sounds really helpful
It sounds like a nice product especially for this season. I think it’s great that they have a product for babies as well. It’s definitely worth trying!
I haven’t heard about this product and this is so interesting for me
The Pink Humer Sea Water Spray might be the best choice for me. My sister is trying something similar so I’ll tell her about this too.
I am hearing about Humer for the first time, but sounds like a great product to use. The spray could be so helpful during winter season in particular and I love that we have different one for kids as well.
I have to get one of these. I use a nasal spray all winter, but it just doesn’t do the job. I think I’m either using the wrong kind or doing it wrong.
I have not heard of these sprays before!!! THey sound great for helping with the dryness from winter and colds too.
I have never tried any nasal sprays but I’m sure they come in handy during cold and flu season. There is nothing worse than being stuffed up and not able to breathe through your nose!
We keep products like this on hand for when the kids are feeling stuffy. So easy to use and it always gives the kids the giggles when they squirt it.
I’ve always used saline since my kids were itty-bitty. We live in a high-allergen area and it really helps.
I like this idea more than the netti pot. They make me nervous. I’ll check out their website.
I suffer from seasonal allergies and could benefit from a saline spray. The allergens have been horrible lately too.
Nakatulong talaga sakin ang Humer nung nagka sinusitis ako. Remember halos 3 weeks yung sipon ko.
I’ve never thought about having a daily cleaning routine for my nose but it does make sense now. I’ll have to research Humer to see if it’s available for me.
Although this product is not available here, I would consider trying it when I visit there. Husband will benefit on this more.
We’ve used Humer even for our newborn. He’s pedia says it’s safe and effective even for newborns like our son. So good to know!

For some reason, I am not comorfotable with this kind of product. Hubby and the kids uses it all the time during winter thugh.
I’m glad you found a product that works for you! We have nasal sprays like that and they’re really convenient and effective!
My kids uses spray as well for their nose to help them from not snoring. My son stops his but my daughter needs to continue.
