It is not a secret that Downy is my favorite fabric conditioner as I would choose doing the laundry as my favorite household chore any day. I have tried all variants of Downy. My favorite variant used to be the Downy Isang Banlaw but now, it’s the Sunrise Fresh. I would try different fabric conditioner from time to time especially if there’s a new one but I would always go back to Downy. Why? because it smells good, it keeps our clothes smelling fresh, it keeps our clothes and blankies soft, it lessens ironing time… I could just go on and on about the things that I love about Downy.
I didn’t know they could add one more thing to love it more!
A couple of months ago, I attended a “malodor challenge” event hosted by Downy. Before the event started, we were given a blue and pink apron to wear as Chef JP Anglo holds a cooking demonstration. I was given the blue apron to wear.
Chef JP prepared several everyday Pinoy dishes which emit strong odors, such as Grilled Vietnamese Pork Belly and Sizzling Sinigang Fried Chicken with Batwan Gravy, plus the special dish of Grilled Bangus with Talangka & Burong rapped in Banana Leaves
The event was hosted by Bianca Gonzalez-Intal and mommy celebrities: Pia Guanio-Mago, Kelly Misa-Fernandez, Camille Prats, and Patty Laurel, joined the cooking demonstration.
After the cooking demo, we went down and played Pinoy Henyo. I played alongside Patty Laurel wherein I was able to guess that the answer was “Vehicle Exhaust” in less than 30 seconds. Woohoo!!!
You know what was the greatest surprise of the day? We were asked to smell the aprons we wore earlier. Unbeknownst to us, half of the aprons were pre-washed with the latest Downy fabric softener. It was easy to guess which one was washed with Downy and which one isn’t . The pink apron has food smell, sweat and smoke stuck to it. The blue aprons were as fresh and clean as ever – effectively demonstrating the effective malodor removal and freshening benefit of Downy’s best ever formula!

HOW TO USE:
Bottles: Apply only ½ cap of the fabric softener, and even a big pile of cloths can stay scented for a long time. Apply 1/2 lid for about 15-20 pieces of clothing.
Sachets: Apply one 27/28mL sachet to a solution of water and soak about 15-20 pieces of clothing for 3-5 minutes. Do not apply Downy directly onto your clothing. Avoid contact with eyes; in case of contact, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. Store products in a cool place, and keep away from direct sunlight.

I love downy! My clothes really smell great with this softener. Always smells fresh even when the clothes didn’t dry properly from damp.

I have been using Downy dryer sheets for years. My mom always used them, so naturally I use what my mom did.
