One of the most common New Year’s Resolution is to eat healthier and to lose weight. Almost everyone — me included– has that resolution every year. This year, my goal is just to add more vegetables and fruits to my family’s diet. More dishes like this Chopsuey with Quail Eggs for lunch or dinner is perfect not only because it’s healthy, it’s appetizing too — just look at all the colors in this dish. Eating more fruits and vegetables adds color to our diet like we’re eating a rainbow!
To encourage healthy eating, Robinsons Supermarket came up with “Eat the Rainbow” promo from January 1-31, 2017. The promo features different bundled fruits and vegetables every day priced at ₱99.00 only.
- Red Monday – Apples and Red Onions
- Orange Tuesday – Carrots and oranges
- Yellow Wednesday – Squash and Lemons
- Green Thursday – Sayote and Green Apple
- Indigo Friday – Grapes and Eggplant
- White Saturday – Pear and white onions
- Eat The Rainbow Sunday
Customers will get a free Eco Bag for their purchase of at least three (3) bundles during the duration of the promo.
The promo supports the Department of Science and Technology – Food and Research Institute’s (DOST-FNRI) “Pinggang Pinoy” campaign that encourages proper portioning of different food groups to guarantee a balanced and healthy diet for Filipinos.
According to Dr. Mario V. Capanzana, Director of DOST-FNRI “We are very happy to be working with Robinsons Supermarket with this promo. This will not only help promote healthy eating, but also make people realize that wellness is affordable and within their reach,”
Robinsons Supermarket and the DOST-FNRI partnership has been going strong for the past 10 years. The partnership aims to make it easier for Filipinos to make healthier choices.
