NOTE: I promised to blog about all my “Life lately” posts before the year ends but I had a problem and I cannot access this blog since November. Hence, the unfinished posts. I wasn’t able to finish it last January and February, So I guess I’m gonna be able to finish it this March.
Wow, December was a busy-busy month! Not much in terms of photos this time, mainly because I already covered most of the highlights in a separate post. One of the standout events was DJ’s son Mattheo’s 7th birthday – and it was such a blast! It was a lot of fun catching up with old classmates and friends. Being there definitely brought back a ton of memories from grade school and high school. It’s always nice to look back and relive those moments!
PETS: Pepper Got Sick
Now, as much as December had its fun moments, it also came with a bit of a tough one. Our sweet Pepper got sick, and that was really hard. She started acting a little off, spending most of her time just lying in the bathroom, not wanting to go outside. It got even worse when she started peeing blood and refusing to eat. We were really worried, so we took her to the vet, and it turned out she had a urinary tract infection (UTI).
The vet kept her in for a day to give her fluids and meds, which was super stressful for us. But the good news is, she pulled through! The next day, we were able to bring her home, but she was still on dextrose. Her vet also recommended we switch up her food – apparently, the Cuties food we were giving her was too salty. So, we made a change to her food and also decided to switch the dog food too. We moved to Special Dog and Special Cat food, plus Aozi Wet Food.
Thankfully, all the changes seem to have worked! Pepper is back to her usual self, running around and being her playful self again. Phew!
So yeah, December had its ups and downs, but I’m thankful that everyone’s healthy and happy now.
