Hey, mommas!
Summer is here, and if you’re already hearing “Ma, bored na ako!” every 10 minutes — it’s time to plan that much-needed family getaway. But don’t worry, you don’t need to book a flight or take a week off. These quick trips from Manila are all about fun, chill vibes, and making memories with your little ones (without breaking the bank or losing your mind!).
Here are my top mom-approved, kid-friendly getaway spots near the metro — tried, tested, and highly enjoyed by Team Mommy Peach!
1. Tagaytay
Cool air, relaxing views, and so many family-friendly spots!
Where to Stay:
- Containers by Eco Hotel – Fun, eco-friendly, and has a playground!
- Escala Tagaytay – Instagrammable and relaxing for moms.
What to Do:
- Ride the ferris wheel at Sky Ranch
- Visit Picnic Grove (bring a mat + snacks!)
- Grab bulalo at Mahogany Market
My Tip: Bring jackets — Tagaytay evenings can still get chilly!
2. Antipolo
Just 1 hour away but feels like a retreat in nature.
Where to Stay:
- Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa – Super relaxing, great pools for kids
- LeBlanc Hotel & Resort – Classy but cozy
What to Do:
- Chill in the pool with a view
- Visit Pinto Art Museum for a touch of culture
- Enjoy coffee at Crescent Moon Café
Mom Hack: Bring your own snacks for the kids — food is great but a bit pricey inside resorts.
3. Batangas (Laiya / Nasugbu / Anilao)
Beach time, baby! Perfect for sandcastle-building and wave-jumping.
Where to Stay:
- Acuatico Beach Resort – Laiya
- Club Punta Fuego – Nasugbu
- Camp Netanya – Anilao – Santorini vibes!
What to Do:
- Swim and snorkel (bring goggles!)
- Island hop or ride a banana boat
- Enjoy beachfront bonfires (some resorts offer them!)
Pack This: Hats, floaters, and lots of sunblock!
4. Bulacan
Private resorts heaven! Great for barkada-style family bonding.
Where to Stay:
- Casa Lina Private Resort
- Villa Antonio Private Pool
Activities:
- Pool time all day
- Karaoke (you know it’s gonna happen!)
- Chill backyard BBQ
Tip: Book early — Bulacan resorts fill up fast during weekends!
5. Pampanga
Adventure + food trip? Count me in!
Where to Go:
- Dinosaurs Island – So fun for kids who love Jurassic Park
- Sky Ranch Pampanga – Same Sky Ranch vibe, but with more food stalls!
- Sandbox in Alviera – For teens and adventurous moms!
Where to Stay:
- Best Western Bendix Hotel – Clean, comfy, family-friendly
Bonus: Stop by Susie’s Cuisine for palabok and tibok-tibok!
My Travel Mom Hacks:
- Always bring a small cooler for drinks and snacks
- Pack an extra set of clothes for YOU, not just the kids!
- Keep a “fun kit” with coloring books, small toys, and wipes
- Download movies or shows ahead for long car rides
