Just a Thought About Luck

What is Luck? Luck is defined as  good fortune which occurs beyond one’s control, without regard to one’s will, intention, or the desired result.

Some people see it as being at the right place at the right time, some see it supernaturally like it is destined to happen to that certain person whenever or wherever this person maybe.

Well, as I see it, luck can come in the form of many things that most of us do not really see or sometimes take for granted. Like getting to your destination just before a storm, someone with a very unhealthy diet but do not get sick or a smoker who has clear lungs. Sometimes we just overlook these kinds of luck and look at something we desire, like the lottery. We put up a sigh and ask ourselves why we never ever win it.

I’m never lucky with raffles or anything that requires a draw. I never win—EVER….except when everybody gets a prize. Just last night I attended an event with an iPhone 4s as a prize. I came to the event not expecting to win it really –and I didn’t. But in some sort of weird way, I end up winning 4 gift certificates to Ace Water Spa as a default– without a draw.

What’s nice about it is that, we are really planning to go to Ace Water Spa.

I’d like to think of myself as luckier than most people. One is because I get to do two of my passions in life ~ cooking and writing. I have a supportive, over-the-top husband, the love of family and friends and this adorable daughter, Purple.
