School Field Trip at Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum, Bio-Research Lost Eden Park and Starland Theme Park

Yup. I seem to be late in posting Ykaie’s school field trip because I am. The field trip was  last October 20, 2012. Since Ykaie  goes to the same school with her two cousins Cyra and Cyvrine, and it’s just a small school, their field trip is on the same day.

The kids were very excited because this is the first time they’re going to be on a field trip and they are going to experience it together. The bus left at around 6:30am. We had a bag full of snacks, lunch and drinks.

The Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum

First stop was the Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum. This museum is dedicated to the history of the Philippine Air Force.

Inside the museum are displays of miniature airplanes and airports, old air force uniforms, antique telephones, cameras, and other things that was used during World War 2.

Outside there are real planes and helicopters, which I think are now broken but it’s something where kids can climb inside and look around.

Bio- Research Lost Eden Park

This is owned by the same people who owns the Bio-Research pet shop that you see inside the mall. This is the  place where they take care of the animals, groom them and feed them. But inside is also a four-hectare garden of plants and animals.

It’s a zoo, a hatchery, a plant nursery, a park and a store  all rolled into one. here, you’ll be able to learn a lot of different things about the different kinds of animals and be able to buy them for a much lower rate than at the mall store.

We saw different kinds of fishes, turtles, birds, iguanas, peacocks, rabbit, guinea pigs, piranha and a butterfly garden.

Before we left, they even gave each student a fish and a plant to take care of. Ykaie asked me to buy her a baby turtle which she named Turtellie.

Starland Theme Park

I was really surprised to find out about Starland Theme Park. It’s a theme park with different kinds of rides and swimming pools and is located inside the mall!!!

It is at the uppermost level of the Starmall in Alabang.

Ykaie and her cousins actually has coughs and cold at this time so I didn’t allow them to go swimming. I was heartbroken when Ykaie broke into tears. I just promised to take her swimming once her cough is gone so she would stop crying.

She did later and enjoyed all the rides she can squeeze in for four hours!

She rode the train, the bump car, the ferris wheel and some of the other rides. Her favorites were the caterpillar and the bump car as she found the others lame and for kids younger than her.

The kids enjoyed the field trip. We came home really tired. The kids couldn’t stop raving about it for days…
