Nanay’s 74th Birthday

Last February 2, we celebrated my Nanay’s 74th birthday. We originally planned on just going out and trying out Wang Fu Chinese Cafe over at Il Terrazzo in Tomas Morato .Three days before her birthday came, she told us she doesn’t feel like going out on her birthday.

So what we did was we prepared a simple birthday celebration for her at home.

We brought her a heart-shaped chocolate cake from Goldilocks and had them put a birthday greeting on top.

My Aunt cooked Steamed Fish which she topped with mayonnaise, chopped tomatoes and onions, and shredded cheese.

She also made this creamy chicken dish, very much like Chicken a la king. I don’ know what she calls this, though.

We steamed some really big crabs with gigantic claws! Sis made this Shrimp dish with Pineapple.

Of course, there were pork barbecue because everyone loves ’em…

The kids sang the loudest Happy Birthday song to their Lola, then Ykaie helped her blow her candle…

There weren’t any visitors, it was only us and a few more grand children who came to visit later.

I think Nanay had a nice time and she liked her birthday celebration. We’ll just eat at Wang Fu next time.
