Thankful Wednesdays

dinner at Cocina Luna, Malabon

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love the quote above because it simply says that we should be thankful for everything — all the things that God sends our way. We should be thankful even for the negative things that happen to us because it makes us stronger and we learn something from it.

This month is still quite busy for us and I don’t think it will ever end. I thank God for giving us all these things to do because we are never bored and as a family, we learn to share responsibilities. I couldn’t be more grateful that we’re now having dinner together and nights out together. It’s like I’m rediscovering “peanutbutter and his complaints about everything” again… hahaha.

Life has given me lemons! Six lemons!!

My herbs died during the Summer but I’m very grateful that my little lemon tree has bore me six fruits this rainy season! Can you believe that? I do hope this Lemon Tree give me lots of lemons!

Our house is almost done.. weeee!!! We went lights shopping last week and we made sure to choose the most inexpensive but pretty (LED) lights we could afford. We only chose simple bulbs for some of the unobtrusive parts of the house but still — our bill from home depot was a shock.. LOL! But I’m grateful that we can afford to go lights shopping, I’m grateful peanutbutter and I were able to choose the lights for our home together.

This goes on the wall outside…..
serious daw….

Earlier in June, my father was diagnosed with Stage 1 Bladder Cancer. I’m grateful that it was detected this early while it is still curable. I know he will still have to fight this illness but with his positive attitude and his positive thinking plus lots of prayers, I know this  illness will soon be cured.

At WACKY!!! (ang daya ni Kuya, KJ. Ayaw mag-wacky)

This photo was taken at Luk Foo where we had lunch after my tatay’s hospital check-up….. I think it’s the first time I dined with him in a restaurant.

That concludes the things that I’m thankful for this past few weeks… Life is full of negatives and positives. Life is full of fights. Life is full of blessings.

Let us be thankful everyday.
