It took me such a long time before I was able blog about the Mom-Me Time 2014 event I attended last October 15, 2014. To tell you honestly, I don’t really know how to start because up until now I’m still overwhelmed about how beautifully-styled, awesome, and magical the event is. I’m really grateful that Baby and Breakfast and Wanders and Wonders invited me to this lovely gathering for wonderful moms.
I admit from the moment I stepped inside Babyland, all my stress melted away.
Baby and Breakfast, founded by Ms. Janna Simpao, is a children’s party inspirations blog committed to style, creativity, and uniqueness. Wanders and Wonders is Rica Peralejo-Bonifacio’s online record of her wanderful, wonderful life! These two came up with the idea of treating mommies to an afternoon filled with creativity, friendship, good food, interactive talks, and terrific giveaways. It was also an afternoon filled with so many lessons learned.
The invite was dainty and very girly!
At the entrance they were giving away this posh jewelry-inspired LuluDK temporary tattoos. These were created from the original artwork of NY designed, Lulu deKwatkowski. So cute! The colors are silver and gold.
The place was styled by Gideon Hermosa of The Events Studio. He transformed the place into a paradise that is every mother’s dream.
There were flowers, candles — and more flowers!
Flower Crown-Making Activity
There was a FlowerCrown-Making activity, something which I didn’t know how to do… hahaha. There was a flower buffet set-up where in we can choose among different kinds of flowers, leaves, ribbons, and other cute things to make our flower crown.
This flower buffet is every florist’s dream, I tell you!

Here I am, looking like I really know what I’m doing..LOL! I see other mommies doing really nice flower crowns and of course, I had to look like I’m also making progress…hahaha

Tadaaaaah!!! Look at my flower crown! It doesn’t even fit my head…..but it was fun making them. (Ehem) I now, know how to make one and all it takes is a little practice…
The Food
The event was catered by K. by Cunanan. K. by Cunanan Catering is known in the industry for combining tasteful floral centerpieces and classic, heartwarming dishes spun with new flavors.
Aside from serving flavorful healthy dishes — it also looks really good!
Lemon and Mint Water and Fresh Dalandan Juice
Here’s a look at my plate! I loved everything in it most specially the prawns, the pasta, and the orange and tomato salad.
S’mores Bar
There was a S’more’s Bar too! It has graham crackers, chocolate, white chocolate, and peanutbutter.

The Cake table was also super girly! The Delightful Miss Joyce made the gorgeous cake and cakelets…
While Lovelots Cakes made the printed cookies.

The Hosts
Ms. Janna Simpao hosted the event. She also gave away and raffled off terrific items which all mommies can use in their everyday life. Nobody was empty handed! She also told us it’s her first time to host an event but it didn’t look like it, she hosted like a pro!
Rica Peralejo showed us photos of her doing the things she loves like traveling and mountain climbing. She also loves photography. This is something she wishes to share with her son Phillip in the future.
She asked us these questions:
Aside from being a wife and a mom, who am I? What do I love doing?
What are my passions? What are my strengths?
What are my dreams for the future?
Well, I love cooking, blogging, writing, and of course, just like Rica, I love traveling…. These things I also want to be able to share with my family.
Ms. Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan is also one of the speakers at Mom-Me Time 2014. She is a super mom of five, a wife, a health and wellness advocate, an editor in chief,a columnist, a blogger, and a triathlete! Whew! I wonder how she fits everything in a day. She is truly an inspiration! She told us that we need to be pampered once in a while and we need to love ourselves so that we have love to give to our family. She also told us that each mom is a princess, even if we don’t feel like one.
And I couldn’t agree more. Being a mommy is stressful and tiring and we do need to re-charge from time to time. It doesn’t mean that we are being selfish, we just need some “ME” time so we could give more to our loved ones.

I wished I was able to take a photo with everyone because this event is something that I will never forget and truly treasure in my heart. It was nice to have at least a few hours of Mom-Me Time with these wonderful mommies!

This event really made my day. I was able to see old friends, make new ones, steal a few hours of Mon-Me Time, relax for a bit, and learned a lot on how to make the most out of being a mommy and a wife.
