A Day at Quezon Memorial Circle

Quezon Memorial Circle

Ykaie enjoyed our day at the Quezon Memorial Circle last week. Why were we there? Well, peanutbutter had to get an occupational permit at the Quezon City Hall and we wanted to accompany him. Since QMC is just right across the Quezon City Hall, we decided to park the car there then Ykaie and I will wait for him while he does his business.

It’s actually just our second time at QMC. The first time was a couple of weeks ago when we accompanied my nanay to buy plants. Nanay and I roamed around and bought Chrysanthemums and Pansies while peanutbutter and the kids (Ykaie, Cyra, and Cyvrine) went off to the playground. I was surprised that QMC had such a big playground. It’s perfect for families because it’s free and the kids can do active play.

Since nanay can’t stay there long because she tires easily, I told Ykaie we’ll just go back there in the near future. I saw a chance to take her back when peanutbutter had to go to Quezon City Hall. We parked the car near the restaurants and that’s a bit far from the location of the playground. We had to walk for a few minutes and we passed by this part of QMC where there are built in fitness equipments. I was surprised and was quite pleased. There were twisters, cycling machines, and others. Not the kind that you see inside gyms but enough to perform what they were built for.

Ykaie enjoyed playing at the playground, she wanted the slides, mostly. When we got tired, we bought some snacks and refreshments. I had Ginataang Halo-Halo for ₱20…LOL!

Right across the playground were some Kiddie Rides. There’s an entrance fee of ₱20 and then you have to pay for the rides that you want. I told Ykaie she can choose only one ride because her daddy’s gonna be finished soon. She chose the Go Kart. The fee was ₱70 for 15 minutes.

She owned the race track since it’s a weekday and enjoyed her 15 minutes pedalling her way around. I enjoyed seeing her having fun.

I know QMC is a place we’ll be back to over and over again.

  2. You know, posts like this really bring home that no matter how different we all are, we are still very much the same. Look at that park. It’s everything you’d see in a park in the states. Go-karts are a universal language!

  3. Oh wow, we live in t tiny town and have NOTHING even close to something like this. I love all the colors, and I would so ride one of those little go carts lol.

  9. That playground looks like it would be a lot of fun especially on a weekend like that when it’s relatively empty. The whole race track looks amazing too, but I can imagine that portion of it being hectic during the weekend. Glad your little one enjoyed herself!

  10. I love a good playground with lots of different areas and activities. Brings back the days when we used to play during recess in elementary school. Omgoodness…my nephew is missing out – they recently took away recess from the schools.

  11. My husband dreams of visiting the Philipines one day. He had a friend in the army that was from there and several others who traveled there a lot after they got out. It’s gorgeous.
