Steak-Eze Chophouse Favorites Angus Cheeseburger

Steak Eze Chophouse Favorites Angus Cheeseburger

I love good cheeseburgers. It’s one of the food I have a constant craving of. In fact, I even make recipes that resembles its taste like this Cheeseburger Soup. I like my cheeseburgers either fresh off the grill when ordering in a restaurant or homemade to be able to attest to its freshness.

Have you seen that mouthwatering cheeseburger in the photo above? I’m sure you must be wondering where this Steak Eze Chophouse Favorites is located because you may want to try it.

Believe it or not, that mouthwatering cheeseburger came from this box.

I am always skeptical when I hear about ready-to-eat frozen anything. I’ve had quite a few depressing experiences about pre-packaged food: soggy bread, burgers that doesn’t taste like meat, meats that fall apart when you try to cook them, dry brittle products…. you name it. Steak-Eze Chophouse Favorites Angus Cheeseburger changed everything.

This box contains 8 individually wrapped sandwiches made up of flamedbroiled Angus Chopped Beef Steak with a slice of American Cheese inside a sesame seed bun. These sandwiches are fully cooked and then frozen to keep their freshness.

As per the preparation instruction, you can microwave it from frozen. Just open the end of the wrapper and microwave on high power for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Let stand in the microwave for one minute before eating it. I imagine the last instruction is to let the heat distribute and get the juices in the burger patty going.

This is what the cheeseburger looked like when it was just taken out of the fridge and transferred into a microwaveable plate. I did everything it says on the instruction in the box….

I could smell the beef heating from the microwave and it was really appetizing!

My cheeseburger was done in three minutes. I wasn’t really expecting much on a bread product that could go from frozen to cook in a short amount of time. I’m expecting them to be either soggy or too dry.

Can you imagine my surprise when I bit into chewy buns, juicy and tasty burger patty, complemented by melty cheese? Oh, pure heaven! and I didn’t even lift a finger to make it nor did I travel anywhere to get it. I just took it from the fridge, then shove it in the microwave.

I am impressed!

I just put ketchup and mustard to complete my burger experience. I’m planning to dress it up a little next time, maybe put some lettuce and fresh tomato slices for some added crunch OR put caramelized onions to change the flavor profile.

By now, I’m sure you’re mentally asking where I got it. Well, I got it from the frozen shelves at S&R Membership Shopping.

It is even available at S&R Club pricing. Before it used to be ₱999.95 but now it’s available for ₱749.95. You get ₱250 worth of savings.

If you’d ask me if it’s worth it, I would be answering a big YES! For P749.95, it brings the price for each sandwich at ₱93.75. You can’t get an Angus Cheeseburger for that price when you order in a restaurant. It’s not a product that I will buy often but it’s definitely a product that I will buy again.

P.S.

The Mojo Potatoes in the photo were also bought from the frozen section at S&R Membership — and I also loved it.
