Hongkong City Tour: Sampan Tour Point

Aboard the sampan, we were taken around Aberdeen harbour to see the fishing village, the floating homes and the Jumbo Floating restaurant. We paid HKD50 each and HKD 25 for ykaie.

The boat maneuvered it’s way into some of the floating homes. I don’t think these floating boats are an attraction. Sure, they can be quite intimidating as they do everything on that boat but they are not attractive.

The Jumbo Floating Restaurant

Well, we just went around it and we also passed some of the finest yacht owned by the rich and famous in HK.

That concludes our city tour. After the boat ride, our bald tour guide dropped us off at Tsim Sha Tsui for some shopping. We told him that we weren’t going to the mall because we had other plans. He told us that since the bus will be taking other tourists to Disneyland he will just show us the way to our hotel. We followed him together with the tourists that were going to Macau but he ditched us off after he got the tickets for the other group. What an A**hole!

We had to look for a cab to go back to the hotel and it was kinda difficult to get a taxi since nobody spoke english. Good thing I got a business card from the hotel that states the hotel’s address. {There are 6 Dorsetts in HK, so imagine how difficult it is to explain if I don’t have the card}. The meter ran to HKD 85. ka-ching! money totally wasted.
