Highlights of 2015… Happy New Year, and #LifeGoals…

Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already 2016! Time flew by really fast for me for 2015. Life was busy and I couldn’t keep up! It’s a year that has many ups and downs and opportunities for learning.

So before I set up camp and list down my #LifeGoals for 2016, let me just have a look back on the year that was…

January

It was our first new year here at home and that was when I discovered how hard it was to host a party.. and how messy! We had a Lemonade-Slash-Barbecue Party.

We had an impromptu trip to Baguio because we had to fix Ianne A.’s registration there. I was still pregnant with Twinkle at the time.

February

I had fun cooking with Pancit Batil Patung with Lenovo Yoga Tablet II.

It allowed me to cook while looking at the recipe because the tablet can be hung from a small hook.

March

We had a staycation at Solaire Resorts and Casino. It was our first time there. They have such a beautiful swimming pool.

It was also the month when Ykaie had fun at Quezon Memorial Circle.

April

peanutbutter♥ and I had new wedding bands which I’m having a hard time to fit into my fingers until now..Waaahhh!  My fingers became fat and chubby ever since I gave birth.

May

Ykaie and Chellie enrolled in the Mcdonald’s Kiddie Crew Workshop. It was her second time but a first for her cousin Chellie. They had a blast!

I attended the Downy Timeless Event with my Kumares! The event was held at The Peninsula and we were really dolled up.

Ate Arlene and Bradzen came home and we ate at Mesa Filipino Moderne and Hoy Panga!.

We also had a chance to try Magnum Manila in SM Aura before it closed down.

June

Before the Summer finally ends, we had two more out of town trips: Club Punta Fuego and Villa Melissa.

Then on June 25, I finally gave birth to our second daughter: Periwinkle Moone!

It was the highlight of our year and the second best thing that ever happened to us (first was the birth of Ykaie, of course). Ykaie was a proud ate!

July

Twinkle’s first movie at two weeks old: Minions… LOL!

We celebrated her 1st month with a Ballerina-themed party. Weeee!

August

We took Twinkle with us whenever we go out like when we we went to Fishermall for the first time. We had merienda at Cold Layers.

Then dinner at Pedro N Coi‘s….

September

Twinkle celebrated her 2nd month with a Minions Party!!

And she finally learns how to smile! This was taken when we had dinner at Pino Restobar.

October

Twinkle kept me occupied for most of the day that I was only able to make one Halloween recipe for October: Blood and Bones (Cheesy Bread and Marinara Sauce). I hope I can do better this year.

Twinkle is such a cutie and we started taking food shots with her!

November

November is the month when I finally learned how to appreciate beer. As a matter of fact, I even had beer pairings with it. Check out this post about San Miguel Premium All Malt Beer Paired with Mussels and Fries.

It was fun dressing up Twinkle and she’s starting to be quite the little fashionista.

December

The Kumare Bloggers (#KumareClub) is finally a thing! Can you believe we had a “photo shoot” at Le Petit Souffle  and that’s what we put in our Christmas card. We had a PR Appreciation Day in early December and went around Makati to delivering cakes to agencies who worked with us. That’s our way of thanking them and showing them how much we appreciate them. Shucks, I haven’t even blogged about it yet.

Ykaie and I still love cooking and baking. It’s our favorite bonding activity…. besides eating, of course.

My tatay was already sick but he slowly got weak when he got blod clot on his leg veins last October. We happily celebrated Christmas at home and he was still our Santa Claus. He was the one who distributed gifts to his grandchildren.

2015 was such a fruitful year for me. It had so many ups and downs that it was hard to say goodbye to but another chapter of my life is going to begin again in 2016.

My #LifeGoals for this year???

First thing on my list is I’d like to lose weight. I ballooned into 209 lbs when I got pregnant and now that I’ve given birth I’m a whopping 185 lbs!!! *sob* I’d like to become at least 130 – 140 lbs. Ykaie and peanutbutter♥ are overweight too so we’d be doing this as a family. Health is wealth, so in this we really have to invest in.

2nd thing on my list is I’d like to update my blog more often, — as often as I did when peanutbutter♥ was still in Dubai and Twinkle doesn’t exist yet. I’d like to blog daily if I can, on both The Peach Kitchen and here.

3rd – I’d like zero backlogs please. I know it’s next to impossible but I’ll do my best.

4th – I hope to be a better friend, wife, mom, sister, and daughter. I hope to improve all aspects of my life in 2016.
