We are a family of three and we all love to eat. Since I am the one in charge in cooking (and the most adventurous in food), I am also the one in charge of planning the week’s menu and the groceries. On top of that, I also blog about the food I cook, so you can imagine the number of ingredients in the fridge and the pantry.
I don’t like leftovers. Most of the time leftovers turn into waste because we end up throwing them when they’re not as fresh or edible as when we kept them. So as much as I can, I try to cook meals in small portion or those that we can only consume. But I’m not perfect and there are times that there are leftovers. That’s where GLAD products come in.
Glad Storage and Glad Cling Wrap are must-haves in my kitchen. They are my best friends because they keep our food fresh longer. By keeping food fresh longer, we then eliminate food wastage.
Glad Cling Wrap helps me seal leftover ulams in our bowls to be kept in the fridge. This keeps the ulams fresh and ready for reheating the next day. It also prevents them from going dry.
Another things I use Glad Cling Wrap for is to wrap around vegetables to keep them fresh longer. Sometimes when the fridge becomes too cold, the vegetable tends to dry up. When there’s too much moisture, they rot easily. So I wrap them in Glad Cling Wrap to extend their shelf life.
You only need half a carrot, half a lemon, or half a cucumber? Wrap the other half in cling wrap before putting them back in the crisper so the cut-up ends don’t get dry or brown.
Glad ClingWrap is available in these sizes:
- Glad Cling Wrap Catering Wrap 33cmx300m (₱594)
- Glad Cling Wrap 30cmx30.5m (₱89.40)
- Glad Cling Wrap refill 30cmx20m (₱53.60)
- Glad Cling Wrap mini 20cmx20m (₱55)
I use Glad Storage Gallon Zipper Bags when I want to marinate something like this Barbecue Pork Breakfast Steaks. It’s big, seals tight, and it helps me distribute the marinade to my meat, fish, or chicken evenly.
I use the Quart Zipper Bags for smaller cuts of meats. I have two freezer meals coming up and I’m gonna be showing you the finished product at www.thepeachkitchen.com. First is the Barbecue Pork Breakfast Steaks and second is this Honey Sesame Chicken.
Freezer Meals really help me during busy days. All I have to do is to get them from the frezer thaw them out and then grill them or put them in the crock pot.
My latest discovery is the Glad Press and Seal.
These are available at major supermarkets nationwide at SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket, Shopwise, Rustans, South Supermarket, Robinsons Supermarket, Waltermart, Landmark Supermarket, Cash & Carry, Unimart, Makati Supermarket, Hi-Top Supermarket, Cherry Supermarket, Puregold, Metro Gaisano, and Pioneer Center.
