There really was very little plan about going here to Bato Springs Resort to celebrate my niece Gab-Gab’s 3rd birthday. But still it pushed through.
Bato Springs Resort is cozily nestled on the slopes of two legendary mountains, Mt. Banahaw and Mt. San Cristobal. There’s a stream of icy cold water that traipse 500 feet above sea level and glides down going to the resort. This makes for a relaxing relief during the summer or a wake upper during colder seasons.
The water is clear, icy and refreshing.
The resort features two man-made waterfalls which goes into two swimming pools and streams all around it. This is an ideal place if you want to be away from the city and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. The different plants and flowers makes a natural home for butterflies and dragonflies, something you rarely see everyday. I actually saw two red and blue dragonflies playing while the kids and I are swimming in the shallow pool.
There are many huts and cottages around the resort but we got the Diuata Picnic Hut {₱1,200}. It features a table below with a grill..
…and a room with a double deck bed and electric fan upstairs where you can keep your valuables or sleep when you’re already tired from swimming. When you get these types of cottages, just like with the tables, means you have to use the common rest room and shower room. One of the things that I didn’t like at the resort. The common restroom needs improvements in terms of cleanliness and good working condition. Some of the sinks are clogged and some of the faucets aren’t working.
ENTRANCE FEE (Adults and Kids)
Weekends/Holidays – P80/pax
Weekdays – P70/pax
Overnight – P125/pax
This entrance fee is from 8am -4pm only. You have to pay another if you’re going to spend it until the evening or if you’re spending the night at the resort. But let’s admit it, the entrance fee and the cottages at the resort are quite affordable.
If you want bigger space and a restroom of your own, I suggest you get a cottage like this one which costs around ₱1,800.

What a beautiful place you got here. I’m sure you and your family had fun.
Yes we did!
Yes, very affordable nga 🙂 Is the water in the man-made falls clean?
Yes, it’s very clean.
Even the cottage is affordable. We don’t have relatives in San Pablo so I think we’ll have to book a cottage should we go here.
