The First Ever Mom and Baby Expo 2017

If you’re a mom, I’m sure that at one point or another we’ve bumped on each other in one of the expos I’ve attended. Baby expos are very popular especially with expectant and new moms who are eager and excited to find out what the new baby products are and buy some for their babies. Mom expos are popular too because they address the wellness of mothers and their shopping needs by having their favorite brands under one roof.

But have you ever wondered how an amazing event it would be if you can combine a mom and a baby expo? Well, wonder not, because you can a be a part of the first ever Mom and Baby Expo 2017!

The Mom and Baby Expo 2017  is a three-day event 2 and 3 made possible by the Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP), in partnership with its trusted affiliates- the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecology Society (POGS), Philippine Pediatrics Society (PPS), Philippine Society of Newborn Medicine (PSNbM), Mother and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines (MCNAP), and the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP).

It will be held on April 21-23, 2017 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall. The Mom and Baby Expo 2017 is open to the general public and there will be an entrance fee of ₱50.

According to PAP President Dra. Belen Velasco,  “This is very exciting because this is something big, something we have envisioned to happen for the longest time. And now, finally, we are doing it. Our objective is simple yet powerful: to impart advices and traverse new ideas moms and expectant moms can use that will ultimately strengthen their maternal bond with their babies”.

In the past, we have mounted a number of interesting, fun and successful assemblies in the aim of improving the health of both mothers and infants. This year, we are very proud our passionate members with decades of proven and justified experience in their fields of expertise, led by Dra. Velasco, thought of this exhibition” shares Dr. Diosdado Mariano, past PAP President. “The Expo is an opportunity to analyze and seek solutions to existing issues pertaining to maternal-fetal and newborn areas in an engaging and fun way.”

What To Expect

The Mom and Baby Expo 2017 will showcase a series of talks from perinatal experts, pocket workshops, fun and informative activities, selling booths and food stalls. It will showcase all facets of comprehensive perinatal healthcare such as products, services, technology and new methods, all of which are intended in aiding Filipina mothers and their infants.

The expo will also address especially those who are planning to have a baby and the importance of preconception check-ups.

Program Schedule

About the Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP)

Founded in 1989, the Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP) has been instrumental in supporting the development of perinatal healthcare in the country. The organization is composed of multidisciplinary societies such as the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS), Philippine Pediatrics Society (PPS), Maternal and Child Health Association of the Philippines (MCHAP), and the Integrated Midwives Association of the Philippines (IMAP). All have the common desire and goal to provide quality healthcare to pregnant women and their unborn child.

Throughout the years, PAP has been mounting series of workshops and seminars on Safe Motherhood and Newborn Health through its different modules on Perinatal Education and the National Resuscitation Program. Members of the society have dedicated their time and effort to ensure that the programs are shared throughout the different perinatal healthcare providers.

At present, PAP is affiliated to the following organizations

  2. Philippine Pediatrics Society
  3. Philippine Society of Newborn Medicine
  4. Maternal and Child Nurses Association of the Philippines
