New Flavors of Dari Creme

A couple of months ago, Anchor launched Anchor Maple Butter, a butter so rich with the flavor of Maple that it’s so good with pancakes.

Yesterday, while grocery shopping I chanced upon these two new flavors of Dari Creme. Dari Creme Bacon and Dari Creme Herb & Garlic. I bought a stick of each for P21.oo per stick and tried it with toasted bread this morning.

The Bacon flavor indeed tastes like bacon but I like the Herb & Garlic flavor much more.

Have you tried this new flavors? Which one did you like?

Sis was so hungry tonight that she asked me to go to the nearest Starbucks to eat. The nearest one to our location is at SM North EDSA, that’s plus/minus 30 minutes away…

Guess what?

We didn’t make it and stopped at the nearest restaurant which was Shakey’s MCU………hee.

Tonight I also got asked a lot of questions…

Ykaie asked me what’s the meaning of the word Indulgence. It was written on our table.

Another thing she asked:

Ykaie: mommy, ano po ginagawa nila sa mga natitirang food? {mommy, what do they do with the leftover food?}

Me: Tinatapon nila. {They throw it away}

Ykaie: huh? eh di sayang naman po yun… {they shouldn’t let the food go to waste}

Me: Kaya nga dapat uubusin mo yung food mo para hindi maitapon {that’s why you should finish all your food so it doesn’t go to waste}

I really love the way how Ykaie’s mind works and the questions she asks me from time to time. I know she thinks about everything that’s happening around us.

Palaisdaan Restaurant in Tayabas, Quezon

After our little adventure at the Adventure Camp of Batis Aramin, we wanted to have a really good dinner. So we asked the tricycle drivers outside of the resort to take us to the Kamayan sa Palaisdaan.

I guess they had a different restaurant in mind and took us to the Palaisdaan Restaurant in Tayabas, Quezon. It was really a few minutes ride from Lucban so we didn’t mind. Besides, we were really hungry.

After we got settled in our floating table/cottage, we asked the waiter for their menu and ordered….

Squid Sisig {₱185}

Sinugno

It was my first time to try Sinugno and I found it really flavorful. Tilapia is grilled and then cooked in coconut milk.

We also ordered Pork Sinigang {₱250}, Steamed Vegetable {₱50},Ginataang Suso w/ Pako {₱110} and Grilled Fish. I forgot what kind of fish and which part.

The food actually took very long before it arrived. We asked the waiter if they have a mosquito coil, which they should be having given that the place becomes the venue of mosquito party during night time. Sadly, they did not have one. It’s okay to try this place once but I’m really not going back there should I be in Lucban or the places nearby.
