We’ve always been excited whenever the BER season starts. One of the reason is because of Halloween! We love celebrating Halloween — the kids loves dressing up. While sis and I love creating spooky and funny Halloween food. We did a Zombie Apocalypse Halloween Party in 2013, had a Halloween Movie Night in 2014, celebrated Twinkle’s 4th month with a Halloween Party in 2015. Our Aunt got sick in October last year so we weren’t able to have a party. But it was always been a Halloween party at home for us.
This year is a first for us to celebrate Halloween away from home… but let me just tell you that we had a Spooktacular Halloween celebration at The Lake Hotel in Tagaytay.
I remember the last time we’ve been here was in 2012. Read: The Lake Hotel
Our Room
We had the standard room which is priced at ₱5,800 but is on a 50% off promo since the hotel is being renovated at the moment. It has a double bed and single bed just enough for the four of us.
The room has cable tv, wife, coffee and tea facility, fridge, cabinet, and a safe.
Toiletries in the bathroom include shampoo, bath gel, lotion, toothbrush, shower cap, sanitary bag, and cotton buds.
Movie Night
Ykaie was very excited for the Halloween party. Party was at 5pm but at 4:30, she’s already wearing her costume! I brought two costumes for Twinkle – an ice cream costume which she wore at Jaden’s birthday party last year and an old witch costume of Ykaie when she was younger. Twinkle doesn’t like wearing costumes. She always tries to remove it whenever I put one on her but when she saw Ykaie wearing her witch costume, she allowed me to dress her up. She even wore the witch hat!
The Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party started with a film showing: Hotel Transylvania, one of the kids favorite.
See Twinkle behaving and watching the movie?
The Lake Hotel had a table of movie munchies: candies, cake pops…
chocolate, banana slices with strawberry and whipped cream, AND mini-cupcakes.
Here’s our after movie “groufie”…
After the movie came the Trick or Treating part. There were three stations at the hotel where the kids were given candies.
Games and Magic Show
When Trick or Treating was over, we proceeded to the Grand ballroom for the Games and magic show. There was also a face painting station where kids can have their face painted with anything they want. Even scary ones.
Ykaie and Twinkle enjoyed dancing and playing with the other kids in the party. Of course, they danced to “Baby Shark”..
Dinner Buffet
It was turning out to be such a long but a fun day. The kids (and kids-at-heart) stopped dancing by dinner time. Let me show you what they have in the buffet table….
There’s Beef Sinigang Soup and a Salad Station with Macaroni Salad and make your own salad ingredients.
Appetizer station consisting of: homemade chicharon, egg fritters, nachos with beef and cheese sauce, gambas, and pig ears.
There are zombie and bat shape pizzas to keep with the Halloween theme.
Corn Dogs
Dessert Buffet
Oh and this is where I got to see my Kumareng Pehpot with her phenomenal super sexy Morticia Addams costume!
The Spooktacular Halloween Costume Party at The Lake Hotel costs ₱799 for adults and ₱399 for kids, including the dinner buffet.
The Next Morning
Since our reservation only includes breakfast for two adults, we had to pay an additional ₱275 for Ykaie — or else she won’t be able to enjoy all those crispy bacon! heehee.

After breakfast, we had a little play time sa play area and then swimming na!!!
At this time, an infinity pool is being constructed but while it’s underway, guests can swim at their indoor pool.
Above the indoor pool is the game room…
And the fitness center…
It was nice to see The Lake Hotel again. It’s too bad that the infinity pool is still under construction but I’m excited to see what it would look like.
The Lake Hotel is located at KM. 58 Maharlika East, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay City
