Yesterday, we were able to watch Super8. It was sis, peanutbutter♥, me, ykaie and cyra {yes, Cyra came with us.}.

Super 8 is about a group of children in 1979 who are filming their own Super 8 movie when a train derails and then exploded releasing an alien into their town.

It has a good shock and surprise factor but honestly, I didn’t like the movie. It took them a while before they showed the alien and the anticipation to see it is already gone.

Anyway, before the movie, Sis let Cyra and Ykaie play at Little Martians.

Little Martians is a space themed play place for children much like Kidz Republic and Active Fun. The only difference is that aside from the slides and small rock climbing area, there’s also a small area where kids can play computer games and now they even have tablet netbooks for the kids.

I grew up watching Disney movies. As a child, I loved Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. When I was growing up, I loved Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. Until  today, I still love watching them and they never fail to stir my emotions whether it’s happy, sad, exciting or scary.

My daughter Ykaie loves watching movies and since I always take her to watch Disney films, she has grown to love them too. My favorites as a child has become her favorites as well. The animation and the action scenes, if there are any, never fail to amaze her. Sometimes it even makes her stop whatever she’s doing. The latest movie we’ve seen is Tangled. After watching it, Ykaie wanted to be Rapunzel, she told me she wanted to have a very long hair like Rapunzel’s. Tangled is now her favorite movie, LOL!

If you’re going to ask what my favorite Disney movie is, I have two and both made me cry a lot during the tie I was watching them. It’s Finding Nemo and Toy Story 3. Finding Nemo is about family and Toy Story 3 is a bout friendship. Those are the two most important relationships in my life besides my relationship with God. It’s a good thing that a disney buy one get one free deal would allow me to buy both my favorite Disney movies for the price of one. Makes it more affordable and I could let ykaie watch it whenever she wants to, specially Toy Story 3. She’s still too young to really understand what the movie means. Perhaps, I’ll keep it and let her watch it when she’s grown a little more.
