Ang bilis ng panahon! Coffee and Onyx are 8 months old! Mag-9 months na nga sila, aksheli. Medyo late lang sa update because, you know, busy-busyhan.

So what have they been doing for the past three months since I updated?

Well, Coffee is now back to eating his favorite brand of dog food which is Oasy Chicken. That’s the only dog food he wants. When we give him a different dog food, he doesn’t eat it even though he’s really hungry… arte no?  He also loves bread, apple, liver bbq, yogurt that’s frozen parang ice cream, and ice cubes.

His favorite treats are: Jer High Chicken Bacon and Sticks AND Zoe Better Than Raw Hide in Peanut Butter and Chicken Barbecue Flavor.

He is very playful and malambing. And you know what, the past two days pa lang sya nagsisimulang mag-growl and mag-bark frequently. He’s been quiet the past 8 months! Madalang lang sya tumahol. I was joking nga sabi ko : “Sa wakas aso na sya”, the past months kasi baby sya… hihihi.

Onyx is different naman. He eats any kind of cat food but he’s not as matakaw as before. So I’m planning to change his cat food again to the same brand as Coffee’s — Oasy Chicken for Cats. His favorite treat is CIAO Chu Ru — any flavor — tuna, chicken, scallop, bonito flakes. But he doesn’t like the jelly type.

He has a bed but you won’t find find him sleeping on it. He wants to sleep on tables — living room table, dining table, and even my home office table. I think because that’s where Coffee is not able reach him.

What I’m happy about now is they both take regular baths! Before kasi, Onyx hates it — nangangalmot at nangangagat but now, he’s ok with it.

So that’s my pet update! They’re both growing to be healthy furbabies — and malapit na sila mag-one year old!

Look at how fast time flies! Onyx and Coffee are now five months old and they’ve grown big! Coffee now weighs 8kg and Onyx is now 2.5kg. They got their vaccines and they are as playful as ever.

Last January, I introduced them to you and look, ang baby pa nila dito….

Meet Onyx and Coffee – The Two New Members of our Family!

Si Coffee — Makulit. Makalat. Per ubod naman ng lambing. Ayan sya at pabebe — natutulog ng nakabuhat sa akin. Sa ngayon he loves rice and boiled chicken ansd of course his treats. Ayaw nya na kumain ng dog food…

Hobbies include ngatngat dito, ngatngat doon. Lahat ng gamit dito sa abahy nginatngat – sofa, center table, school supplies ni Twinkle. Hay, walang nakaligtas.

Si Onyx — snob sa umaga, malambing sa gabi. Pinagnanasaan nya ang aming turtle na si Aspara. He loves cat food and boiled chicken. Favorite spot to sleep in: dining table.

Because they’re the same age, they’re growing up like siblings. Eto sa magulo naming kitchen at sabay silang kumakain.

Please excuse the magulong bahay in the background. Hindi pa nakakaligpit dahil sa umagang-umaga maghabulan at magharutan at dalawang to. Para silang Tom and Jerry akyat baba sa bahay…

But I’m very happy that they’re here and Yes, they are helping with my anxiety.

We are actually thinking of getting another puppy… Naku, lalo ng gugulo dito sa bahay.

Guys, please meet and welcome the two new members of our family — Onyx (the kitten) and Coffee (the puppy). We’ve reserved them last November but got them last December right after Christmas. We picked Coffee from Bulacan last December 28, 2020 and Onyx arrived the day after through the previous pet owners.

Coffee was born last October 10, 2020. Onyx was born last October 23, 2020. Both are turning 3 months this month. We really planned it this way — to get them at the same age and at the same time. Hoping na magiging close sila as time goes by — like siblings.

Having these two are like having babies again — and twins at that! They both got stressed when they were re-homed and adjusted. We also adjusted — from feeding them, playing with them, and potty training them.

Coffee’s favorite treats  are this JerHigh Chicken with Spinach and Chicken with Carrots… As for his food, he eats boiled chicken breast and lamb & rice Dog Food.

Onyx loves this CIAO treats and eats Whiskas and boiled chicken breast.

The reason I got these two is because Ykaie wants to have a cat and we think it will be a good experience for Twinkle to have pets other than our pet turtle and fish. Another reason is because I have anxiety and I think having pets would really help me to reduce stress and anxiety.

Today, I think they have adjusted to their new home and to us.
