Twinkle’s Christmas Party 2019

Now that one of the festivities is over and I’ve had a bit of rest the past few days, keri na to share what happened the past few weeks. Let’s start with Twinkle’s Christmas Party…

To be honest, I can’t remember Twinkle’s Christmas party at Angel Beats Play and Development Party last year. I know there must be one but I don’t think we were able to attend it. Anyhoo, this year, their Christmas party was at the lobby of SM Sangandaan.

It was a big party because all students were present — as were all the parents. I initially thought we were included in the party but it was only the kids who were allowed inside the area. They were asked to bring something worth P300 for the exchange gift and they numbered it randomly so the students doesn’t get their own gifts but due to the number of students, syempre nagkagulo na later and they just gave out the gifts randomly.

What surprised me was the kids has a dance performance pala onstage! Good thing I was able to capture it on video.

Twinkle’s Birthday Celebration at Angel Beats!

Twinkle celebrates her birthday every last week of June. Because of this she always ends up having an advance birthday celebration during the last days of Summer in one of our Summer trips. This year though, since she just turned four, I want her to experience a birthday celebration with her classmates at her playschool, Angel Beats! It’s nothing big, just a simple celebration with children and teachers she spends happy times with three times a week.

Twinkle is in love with all things rainbow and unicorn so I dressed her up in a unicorn ootd that’s super colorful and glittery. And she was over the moon with excitement.

They were only 10 kids in class and they have 12 teachers. Before her birthday, I asked her what she wanted to treat her class with. She told me she wanted Rainbow Cake, Chickenjoy, and cookies…

I bought ChickenJoy Meals, Pizza from Shakey’s, and Rainbow Cake. We also prepared lootbags with chocolates and small toys for her classmates.

Sakto naman, it was Ykaie’s dismissal from school, so she was able to celebrate with her sister too….

Twinkle was so happy when her classmates sang her a Happy Birthday song before she blew her candle. I think she was even overwhelmed that she cried towards the end….

They all ate heartily afterwards — ’cause I think all the kids really like ChickenJoy and Jolly Spaghetti. Then Twinkle distributed the loot bags. They played until her classmates were fetched by their parents

I know Twinkle was happy to celebrate her birthday with her classmates and teachers. I was happy too because it’s gonna be one of her most memorable experiences.

Twinkle’s Schooling Update (and OOTDs)

You might be wondering how Twinkle’s schooling is doing. Well, let me share with you an update, pati na rin ng OOTDs (courtesy of nanay Pinky, of course).

Well, It’s been, what, five months now since Twinkle started school last September. Let me share with you how it’s been. September was such a great month for Twinkle because she loved going to school. She loves learning new things and she loves playing with her classmates. She would be proud whenever she comes home with a star on her hand.

Come October, she started having separation anxiety. Whenever she knows it’s school time she would ask “Mommy, Angel Beats??” and when I reply with a yes. She’d start crying and refuse to take a bath. She would also start tantrums and tell us that she doesn’t want to go to school. Going to school became a constant battle for us. With a little coaxing here and there, sometimes she’d be eager to go but most of the time there are lots of crying.

We know it’s just separation anxiety because once, she gets there and she gets to play with her classmates, she would stop crying.

After the school Halloween Party, the school started renovations for the sem break. We figured it was a good time to let Twinkle rest and make her forget her sepanx in going to school. Since Angel Beats’ system is very lenient that classes are enrolled on a monthly basis, we decided not to enroll her for November and December. December being a very busy month for us because peanutbutter♥‘s sister and her family goes home for a vacay and we have vacation and lakwatsa here and there.

So January for Twinkle is a fresh start. She still has memories of her sepanx days last year but she’s a bit more mature now. What I do is I talk to her and tell her that I’ll just be outside waiting for her and I’ll be there when she comes out later. I also tell her to show me her stars after school. I think that kinds of reassure her that I’m not leaving her at school. Now, she really goes to school happy.

Her new schedule is M-W-F but she’s still under Teacher Jove. What’s in the photo above are some of the activities they did since school started last January 7, 2019. We are having a great start of the year so far.
