Ykaie Learns How To Tell Time

Yesterday, Ykaie’s teacher asked them to bring paper clocks today because she will be teaching them how to tell time. We looked for a paper clock from bookstore but the staff said they ran out of it and they had this styropor one instead. It’s bit more expensive but we bought it anyway. She immediately unwrapped it the moment we arrived at home and asked me about the clock. I can tell she was very eager and excited to learn.

This morning, she’s a lot more excited to go to school because she knows she’s gonna be able to tell time even a little bit after class.

It saddens me that our internet shop is already closed. It would’ve been a good practice for her to keep tabs of the time ins and time outs of the players.

I guess I’ll just have to think of something interesting to practice her new time telling skills…

School Christmas Party 2012

This was supposedly Ykaie’s costume for their Christmas party last year before sis got the idea for the frosty the snowman costume. Ykaie went as a girl Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer wearing the cute Christmas light necklace I bought in Divisoria the other day.

Cyvrine went as an Angel and Cyra went as girly Santa Claus.

This is Cyvrine and Cyra’s first Christmas party at school and I can tell they had fun and enjoyed it a lot!

Hiring a Tutor

Most of the time, parents are the ones who hire a tutor to help their child with his or her education. When a parent hires one, though, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the child is a slow learner. It maybe that the parents just want the child to excel in certain areas of her schooling.

High achievers also seeks the help of tutors to reach new levels of education. They want to be more advanced in terms the level of their subjects in school so they could get ahead and score high grades.

In hiring a tutor, one does not need to go to the big-named or high-priced tutoring companies. There are a lot of tutoring companies out there who has well-trained tutors that could attend to your child’s needs but offers affordable rates. Besides, you should hire a tutor that hails from the same area where you are residing or studying. If you live in Atlanta, hire someone who has an Atlanta tutoring experience.

I’m actually thinking of hiring a reading tutor for Ykaie come Summer time. She can already read three-letter and four-letter words and I can see that she is really interested in reading. If there’s no individual tutor, a group tutor will do as well.
