The 8th day was one where I’m the proudest….. Ykaie was all smiles when she started her swimming lessons…
Most of the time she swam without her armfloat….while I sit on the sidelines,ear bud in my ears listening to happy music.
After almost 45 minutes of swimming without armfloats, ykaie got tired so Coach Inna tied it around her waist to help her float….
Ykaie didn’t like it but she followed her coach’s instructions…..
Ykaie made more friends on her 7th day including this 6 year old boy named Buck who’s also one of the friendliest kid around.
I also didn’t have to worry about Ykaie being scared of the water again. By this time she’s regained enough confidence to swim with or without the armfloat.
As a matter of fact, I found myself going to the coffee carts and kiosks coffe carts to get a cup of brew while she’s swimming.
Just look at that smile!
After almost a month of barely updating this blog, I am back. peanutbutter♥ left the country at past 7pm today and I’m back to being husband-less for a year..{Sob}
I wasn’t able to finish blogging about what happened during Ykaie’s swimming lessons, so here I am taking a little backtrack…
After crying her heart out and being scared of the water on her 5th day of swimming lessons, she decided she could go back and try again. There was an incentive of a Chicken Nugget Happy Meal and a little coaxing on the side but there was a lot of courage as well…
Back in the water….
She’s made some new friends because there were some new enrollees……
I was a happy mom on the 6th day…..
