1st Day of Swimming Lessons

Yesterday was Ykaie’s first day of her swimming lessons and she couldn’t be more excited. We arrived 15 minutes early and she couldn’t wait to go into the water.

She wore her purple and green swimsuit which matched her purple swimming cap. The swimming cap is from Aqua Speed sailfish, one of those brands that is both affordable and of good quality .

They did some stretching first, took a shower and finally went in to the pool.

I am so proud of Ykaie because she’s not afraid of the water and she really follows the coach’s instructions.

And as promised, we went to McDonald’s after.

Swimming Lessons will start on April 16

Before I went to meet my cousin who I’m supposed to accompany this morning to buy some hydraulic cartridge, I was able to enroll Ykaie for swimming lessons..Yay!

The fee for 10 sessions of Toddler swimming lessons is P3,000. It’s an everyday class for 1 hour each day. Ykaie’s class will start on April 16th at 10-11am.

Ykaie got a purple swimming cap which they sell there for P150. Her other requirements are arm floaters and goggles. She can’t use her lady bug arm floater anymore, the one she used when she was younger, so I need to buy her a new one.

I guess it’s time for another trip to the mall…

Summer Swimming Lesson

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been wanting to enroll Ykaie for swimming lessons. Primary reason is because I don’t know how to swim and I want her to be able to do more than what I can. Plus it’s a lung exercise. I figured, that could develop her lungs and make it stronger.

Last week, I went to two venues for the MILO Swimming Clinic. One’s here in Crystaland, Malabon and the other one in MCU. I inquired for the price and the duration of the lessons and stayed for a few minutes at the outdoor chaise lounge to watch some of the kids who are in class.

I’m just waiting for her cough to go away before I enroll her. She’s been having coughs and cold since last week . When I took her for follow-up check-up after her dry cough, there was a prescription for three more meds. Follow -up check-up is next friday.

Cough, please go away!
