Baguio Trip 2018: Wright Park, Diplomat Hotel, The Mansion

So, ito ang mga pinasyalan namin sa Baguio when we were there last December… konti lang napuntahan namin pero masaya naman….

The Mansion

Our first stop was The Mansion, the official summer residence of the President of the Philippines. Inside is a mini museum of memorabilias and works of arts collected over the years by the former presidents. Honestly, we didn’t go inside.. LELz.. nagpa-picture lang sa labas…

Wright Park

And even though we just ate at Glenn 50’s Diner, I couldn’t resist these Starwberry Taho and Ube Taho which you can only buy there in Baguio. Ang sarap kasi mainit pa..

After drinking the taho, Ykaie went horseback riding for 30 minutes while Twinkle who’s still a little bit scared of horses just settled for a photo opp….

And they had the obligatory photo with a St. Bernard Dog for ₱50….

The Diplomat Hotel

It’s my first time to drop by The Diplomat Hotel. This was formerly a rest house and a seminary way back 1911 before it was developed into a school and eventually, a hotel. This place has a lot of history including beheadings of nuns and priests during WWII, so this place is believed to be haunted. Katakot no?

We also went to the Lourdes Grotto and Baguio Cathedral but I wasn’t able to take any photo…

Our Baguio Trip 2018 : Hotel Elizabeth

Since it’s super kadooper hot here in Manila these days, I finally remembered how much I loved the weather in Baguio last December. It reminded me that even though I’ve already shared with you our food trips (Chocolate De Batirol, Good Taste Resto, and Glenn 50’s Diner) , I haven’t shared with you the rest of our trip.

Well, every December, when it’s Christmas time, my SIL and her family comes home from Dubai. Of course, we always make it a point to spend time together and to bond as a family. Last year, we decided to go to Baguio right before Christmas. We stayed at Hotel Elizabeth. I chose this hotel and booked the reservation because I know that Hotel Elizabeth has a Penthouse Suite that can accommodate all of us. Ykaie and I have been there in 2012 when I was invited with my fellow bloggers.

OUR ROOM

Our Baguio Trip 2018 : Hotel Elizabeth — Living Room

The Executive Penthouse Suite costs ₱16,000 ++ per night. It has one king sized bed on its Master’s bedroom and 2 full-sized bed each for the 2 Guests Rooms. The room is complete with cable TV and a free WI-FI access. It is designed with wide window space and balcony that transforms the room to its optimum ambiance. It is located at the top floor that makes you enjoy the view of the mountains. The standard occupancy is 6 adults but they allow a maximum of 8 sharing the room with the two additional persons at an extra person/bed charge payable at the hotel. Inclusive of daily breakfast.

This is our room. Ykaie got the single bed while peanutbutter♥, Twinkle, and I shared the bigger bed.

The rooms are not air-conditioned. Syempre naman no, who needs a/c in Baguio, especially in December…

This is the balcony where you can get a really magnificent and relaxing view, especially in the morning when you’ve just woken up.

Our stay at Hotel Elizabeth has been really nice. The hotel staff are always cheerful and helpful. The place is clean and breakfast is aplenty!

Baguio Trip 2015: Dinosaur Island

After picking strawberries from Strawberry Fields, we immediately returned to Pine Breeze Cottage to fix our things. We wanted an early start because we’ll be going to Dinosaur Island before finally heading home to Manila. peanubutter♥ didn’t want to go in and decided to just for us in the car. Sis, Ykaie and I were the only ones who went in.

Dinosaur Island is located at the Baguio Ecopark and is one of the latest attractions in Baguio. It is located along Marcos Highway and before th tunnel (coming from Baguio)

Entrance fee is ₱350 for adults and ₱300 for kids 4 to 12 years old.
