Where To Go In Baguio: Mines View Park

Mines View Park is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Baguio. Like what I told you, I’ve been to Baguio back when I was six or seven years old and that was Circa 1980’s. The photo below is that of me and my nanay.

I can still remember before, you can see a panoramic view of Benguet’s gold and copper mines and the surrounding mountains from the observation deck. And there were young igorots, catching coins down below the rocky incline.

Today, much more than Benguet’s gold and copper mines {If it’s still there}, you can see many houses surrounding the area.

The mountains are still there and you can rent a binocular for P10 per 15 minutes to check them out.

A Tour of The Hotel Elizabeth, Baguio City

Just as I promised earlier, here’s a short tour of the hotel…..

The Hotel Elizabeth was designed by renowned Interior Designer Tessa Prieto-Valdez. There are 72 rooms which includes the penthouses, suites and guest rooms.

This is the hotel lobby and this is what will greet you the moment you step into the hotel. On the left side is The Flora Cafe and on the right a Piano Bar and the Spa.

The last time I’ve been to Baguio was when I was six or seven years old. I vaguely remember all the places we’ve seen except for the most popular ones and the ones where I had my a picture taken. I also think that back then there aren’t many hotels around and knowing my parents, even if there are any, we wouldn’t be checking in there because it was too expensive for our budget. So we stayed at houses or apartments for rent.

That is why I was so thrilled when I was one of those invited to experience how staying at The Hotel Elizabeth was like.
Friday night, we arrived to this breathtakingly romantic sight of the hotel. No wonder this is one of the best places chosen by many to make their proposals.

It was also that night when the celebration for the hotels 7th Anniversary was held. The party was hosted by Shalala.

After the party, we checked in and we were given a Deluxe Room with two double beds. Published rate for these types of room is P4,256 per night including breakfast for two persons.

This room can be a stand alone or can be connected to an Executive Suite.
