Tamaraw beach Resort is different from Tamaraw Falls. It is a beachfront hotel that is a five-minute walk from the popular White Beach.
You can opt to climb a narrow cement stairway beside Ciao Italia or you can also go through these huge rocks to the other side that is the resort.
Since we have kids with us, we chose the cement stairway. I’m thinking it was a hundred steps I climbed by the way I was gasping for air when we reached the top.
Swimming at the beach in front of the hotel is free, there’s no entrance fee unless you’re going to use the facilities. We didn’t go swimming there, though. We had dinner at their restaurant courtesy of Rome.
As far as I can tell by the resort’s ambience, this is one of the best places to stay in Puerto Galera.
… and should I find myself going back there, I would definitely put this place at the top of my list.
You can’t really go inside the club unless you’re a member but you can dine at the small restaurant outside. A Zip Line is under construction when we were there, so I guess it’s one of the activities you can do soon.
Since I don’t know how to play golf and I’m not planning to learn in the near future, it’s enough for me to admire and take in the view and the wind.
The next day, we woke up early for our scheduled “tour”. We talked to the caretaker of Villa Bienvenida and managed to rent an van going to Tamaraw falls and two other locations for P2,000. The agreement was, the driver would take us to the market first so we could buy food. He would drive us to the falls and would grill food for us. After that he would take us to two more locations.
It sounded like a good deal, so we took it.
Tamaraw Falls is just one of many in Oriental Mindoro. This one is found along the road and is composed of small waterfalls meeting and cascading in a waterbed which I wasn’t able to see. Because before the waterbed comes a resort at the foot of the falls. It is a welcome change from White Beach’s salty water.
The entrance at the resort is P20 per person. Not bad.

Ykaie loved the water. To say that she enjoyed her birthday is an understatement. She was very happy, she wanted to extend our stay. She just wished daddy’s here to celebrate with us.
