We wanted to see what the main lobby looked like so after putting down our bags in our room, we headed out. We checked out the main lobby located at the hotel’s main wing.
As expected their Christmas Trees and other Christmas decors are already up and there’s a Gingerbread House-shaped store in the lobby too.

Our first stop on this Cebu adventure was the Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa. I thought we were only booked for a day tour but I was glad I was wrong because we were checked-in for a night.
At the airport we looked for Shangri-La’s waiting area for our airport-to-hotel shuttle service. I was expecting it to be free but sis told me that there’s a charge of P150 per person.
I guess that’s alright too since we were the only ones aboard. It took us around 20 to 30 minutes to get there. We were taken at The Ocean Wing lobby instead of the main lobby. Our reservation is supposed to be for the Deluxe Sea View Room which is located at the Main Wing.
We found out later that we were given a complimentary upgrade to the Ocean Wing Panorama Room and it was so nice of them to allow us to check-in early at 9am.
Welcome drink was fresh Watermelon Juice.

Tamaraw beach Resort is different from Tamaraw Falls. It is a beachfront hotel that is a five-minute walk from the popular White Beach.
You can opt to climb a narrow cement stairway beside Ciao Italia or you can also go through these huge rocks to the other side that is the resort.
Since we have kids with us, we chose the cement stairway. I’m thinking it was a hundred steps I climbed by the way I was gasping for air when we reached the top.
Swimming at the beach in front of the hotel is free, there’s no entrance fee unless you’re going to use the facilities. We didn’t go swimming there, though. We had dinner at their restaurant courtesy of Rome.
As far as I can tell by the resort’s ambience, this is one of the best places to stay in Puerto Galera.
… and should I find myself going back there, I would definitely put this place at the top of my list.
