The cafeteria is strategically located in the middle of the 7.5 hectare of collection of animals that Avilon Zoo. We were tired and thirsty from walking. Surely we needed something really soft and comfortable to sit down such as the couch cushion at this site but we survived with water and some ice cream.

After all, we are all excited to see what more are instore for us with the other 3.75 hectare of land.

This was a new attraction at the time: The American Black Bear.

One of the places where we took the kids when peanutbutter♥ came home last April was at the Avilon Zoo in Rizal. We’ve taken Ykaie to the Manila Zoo when she was a lot younger and she enjoyed it. So we thought we should take her to a bigger zoo this time around.

Avilon Zoo is currently the largest zoological institution in the Philippines in terms of land area and collection of animals. We wanted to take Ykaie and of course, her cousins, to a bigger zoo so she could see more varieties of animals. Those that she wouldn’t be able to see back at the Manila Zoo.
