Getting Through The Night at Tagaytay Econo-Inn

We just spent hours at battling the heavy traffic at the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway on a long weekend. We tried waiting it out at the Bag of Beans but we were just so tired. So we just decided to look for an affordable accommodation in Tagaytay. The firts hotel we checked out is the Lee Boutique Hotel but there were no standard rooms left, the cheapest they could offer costs P9,000 and we couldn’t afford that for an overnight stay.

A little more traveling ahead and we chanced upon Tagaytay Econo-Inn. A room with a double bed, an extra matress, cushions and pillows, and breakfast for two the next day costs us P3,300. Not bad for somewhere comfortable to spend the night.

Toiletries the bathroom has: two pieces of toothbrush, toothpaste, soap and shampoo. Our room even opens up into a small veranda where their wifi signal is the strongest.

We kept the tv on most of the night….

Our Room at Peninsula de Punta Fuego (Part 1)

After a fun dip at the beautiful pools at Terrazas de Punta Fuego, we had to go back to the Peninsula de Punta Fuego by 2pm. That’s the check-in time and our room was ready by then. We occupied one of rooms at the Casita which was big enough for 4 people. It has two double beds and the room was very clean.

There was a fruit plate and the room opens up into a full veranda. There’s no view, though, only two comfy seats where, I don’t know, you can smoke and gossip?

If not for the two double beds, I’d say the room has romantic possibilities. Aside from the cookies, chips and nuts, they also have wine at the mini-bar.

When we made plans to go to the 17th Philippine Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, we decided not to book any hotel reservation. We figured there are many small inns and hotel outside Clark Airfield and we can just search for one once we’re there.

We left Caloocan at around 3 pm last thursday, after the kids came home from school at was there in Angeles, Pampanga at around 4:30 pm. Because of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta,most of the hotels are fully booked. Some had vacancies but only for the small rooms. We asked four different hotels before we found this small hotel located in the middle of the busy street of Fields Avenue.

I know….this hotel make it sound like we’ve traveled to Europe…but we didn’t…LOL!

The only available room that they have is the Suite Room which costs P3,00o per night. It has a double bed and a sofabed. There are seven of us. Four adults and three kids so we have to ask for an extra mattress which costs P600.

The room has a coffee maker {but no coffee}, fridge and phone. Thank goodness I bought two packets of my favorite tea and sweeteners.
