My Cabin By Selah

Our stay at My Cabin By Selah was last November pa pero ngayon ko lang na-share kasi.. Bakit nga ba?.. there are too many photos to go through… LOL! Anyway, we booked this because ang tagal ng hindi nakakalabas ng mga kids back then and I wanted to take them swimming. Because we’re in the middle of the pandemic, I wanted to go to a resort that is private — meaning kaming family lang ang nandoon, pretty, and syempre that allows pets because we can’t leave our pets behind.

That’s when I found My Cabin By Selah — located in Bustos, Bulacan — ang lapit pa sa amin!

We booked the Medium Cabin for P10,700 per night. It can accommodate up to 8 persons. I booked this because the original plan was to bring my SIL, FIL, and my sister who calls herself Anney with us. Eh due to unforeseen circumstances, hindi sila nakasama that time so the cabin is really big for the four of us.  Dun lang kami natulog sa first floor lahat since the two beds has pull out beds. The cabin also has a toilet and bathroom, a small kitchen which has a microwave, induction cooker, rice cooker, ref, and electric kettle. It also has dinnerware and some cookware.

Meron ding grill sa labas and you can pay P100 (yata) for the charcoal. Sila na bahalang magsindi ng charcoal — maggi-grill ka na lang. O diba, very convenient?

Yan ang baon namin — Boneless bangus, Steak, and BBQ Liempo. Yung Batchoy nadaanan lang namin on the way tapos bumili si DaddyDoodleDoo.

KAWA HOT BATH

You can choose to have Kawa Hot Bath at night. They suggested it kasi daw more relaxing — perfect bago matulog. I think the payment for this is P200 — they put aromatheraphy oil sa kawa when they prepare it for you. Very relaxing nga because of the hot water and the smell of the oil.

Kami lang ni DaddyDoodleDoo ang nag-ganito because the kids didn’t like the hot water. Alam nyo na pag aging na… nasisiyahan sa hot water — LOL!

BONFIRE AND S’MORES

Of course may baon kaming pang s’mores so the bonfire at night is a must!

BIKING

We didn’t know there are bikes that you can borrow and ride on their small trail. We only saw it when we got there kaya naman ni-try nila DaddyDoodleDoo, Twinkle, At Ykaie.

Another memory deposited to our memory bank! We really enjoyed our stay here. The ambience is very relaxing and the staff are approachable and accommodating.

Balituk Baler

We wanted to stay for only two nights at Aliyah Surf Resort but when we asked sis to come, syempre she wanted to extend our stay kahit na one day lang… So she booked a night’s stay at Balituk Resort and there we went after checking out of Aliyah.

Balituk is located in Sabang Beach pero sa dulo na ng world! As in rough road going there with bumps and tumps in rock and sand. But unlike Aliyah, this brings you closer to nature.. bakit kamo? There’s no wifi and signal sucks — so no data connection as well. So the kids, well, they just made do of what we had during night time. We watched the movies that were already downloaded in the laptop.

What I love about this resort, though is that it’s very affordable.

Rooms

They had these cute TeePee Huts that are great for couples! It’s not air conditioned but for around P1,500 a night, I think it’s an awesome deal. Don’t you?

But of course for a family of five who wants an airconditioned room, we booked for their room made with container vans. Yes, colorful container vans!

We had this orange room which is good for 6 persons. I think it costs P5,000/night.

What it looks on the inside: two double beds with single pull out beds and a rest room on the far end.

Swimming Pool

Since we were there on an off peak season, we were the only ones checked in. And we were the only ones swimming in the pool. Ang lamiiiiig!

As for the beach, we were also the only ones at the beach since this resort is located at the far end of the beach.

Balituk sells this homemade Cacao Ice Cream and it’s really good!

What I loved about Balituk:

  • It lets you be closer to nature.
  • It has a swimming pool
  • I’ve never slept inside a container van before and it’s kinda a nice experience
  • This place is very affordable.
  • It has a kitchen, you can bring your own food to cook.

What I didn’t like:

  • There’s no wifi and signal.
  • There’s no restaurant to buy food.
  • Located at the end of the beach, far from restaurants/stores/city.

It was definitely a nice stay. We probably won’t go back, though,  because of the location of the resort and the availablity of signal/wifi.

Our Rooms, The Resort

The resort is like  big rest house which they rented and turned into a resort. Its main house has two air-conditioned rooms on the second floor which has a double bed with a pull out bed and and an extra queen mattress. It has an adjoining bathroom.

This is where we stayed. (FIL, MIL, peanutbutter♥, me, Ykaie, and Twinkle)

This room is where Sis, Chellie, Shy, and Gab stayed.

It also has a family hall that has four double beds which has its own bathroom. The family hall is not air-conditioned, though. Syempre, no one stayed here kasi mainit!

Other accommodation outside which can also be used are the Antigo Cottage which is also air-conditioned with toilet and bath and has 4 double beds and the Bahay Kubo which has 1 twin beds.

As you can see, this is a big resort and can easily house around 30 persons. You can say this is also good for team buildings, family reunions, and other occasions which requires a large sleeping space.

In case you were wondering, we got the resort for ₱14,500 per night which means ₱29,000 sya for two nights. I think it’s okay for 30 persons, considering the space and amenities.

This is the living area where their tv is located. At the back is a dining space and the clean kitchen where the microwave oven is located.

Videoke all night is also possible here in the resort… O ayan na nga si peanutbutter♥ at si Papa Sony nag-start na ng concert nila.

Oh and there’s this: a tree house where you can make tambay while having coffee during chismis time, hihihi

SWIMMING TIME!

The resort has only one swimming pool but of course one is enough for all of us. It was cloudy and drizzling from time to time when we were there but it just made it more fun.

We did nothing but swim- eat-swim-eat again-swim again.

Oh, and we celebrated Twinkle’s Moana Themed Birthday party here which I will share with you on my next post.

KAWA HOT BATH

There are lots of things you can do here like Jet ski, Kayak, play basketball (there’s a basketball court at the entrance),  play volleyball, and utilize this Kawa Hot Bath…

This is where you’ll get to be ulam for a day… LOL! Ikaw muna ang iluluto, pahinga muna ang food. Just kidding.

This is where you’ll get to take a bath on a big pot or kawa just like  you’re in a bath tub…

Over all, it was a fun stay. We really had a great time. Nakakapagod lang talaga mag pack and unpack at mag-byahe pauwi!

Let me share with you What I Like About Tierra Salva Lakeview Resort:

  • The resort is very spacious
  • The caretaker is always there so you can ask him if you need anything like where’s the nearest sari-sari store to buy tube ice, suka etc.
  • There’s wifi, cable tv, and videoke
  • The a/c is super okay. Malakas ang air con, ang sarap matulog kapag galing ng swimming!
  • Lots of activities you can do inside the resort.

What I Didn’t Like:

  • Malangaw sa resort. Hindi ko alam kung saan pwede manggaling ang langaw pero grabe!!!
  • Incomplete kitchen equipment — walang rice cooker, strainer, etc.
  • The showers are located at the 2nd floor. Meaning after swimming, you have to go up to take a shower.You’ll be leaving a trail of water along the way. At medyo mahina ang tulo ng tubig.
  • You don’t really have privacy ’cause the caretaker can go in and out of the main house.
