Another series which thrives on deceit is Revenge.

Revenge is about a girl named Emily Thorne, whose real name is Amanda Clarke. She moved back to The Hamptons to get revenge on the people who destroyed her family and her father. When she was a little girl, her father was framed on a terrorism charge and was convicted for treason. Those people made sure that her father dies in prison and that she’s sent to juvenile detention.

On her 18th birthday, she was released out of juvie and discovered that she inherited the wealth of the company in which her father invested. Using her money, she decided to take revenge on the people responsible for her father’s downfall.

She has uncovered many of the best kept secrets of these people and she’s using this to protect herself. For her that was the best term life insurance because it will definitely keep her alive

Emily Van Camp is the lead and plays Emily Thorne/Amanda Clarke.

I wasn’t a big fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer but when I started watching the first episodes of Ringer I got hook and I wasn’t able to let go until I finished the first 10 episodes. First season has 22 episodes but the rest will continue in January.

Ringer is about twins Bridget and Siobhan both played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. They have been estranged for six years but when Bridget witnessed a murder and ran from the mob, she asked for her sister’s help. Siobhan is rich and married. She takes Bridget out on a boating trip but suddenly disappears. Bridget assumed her identity and found out  that her sister’s life is full of deadly secrets.

This series is about deceit, love and identity. I’d say Sarah Michelle Gellar has redeemed herself.

Grimm is a crime-drama series.

It says “Not Your Usual Suspects” because Grimm is not your usual crime-drama series.

It is coupled with a fantasy twist –more like a fairytale twist, hence, the title Grimm. But unlike Once Upon a Time which more about love, family and friendship, Grimm is more on the gory side of fairytales.

Lead star is David Giuntoli. He plays Detective Nick Burkhardt, a homicide detective who finds out that he is the last descendant of the Grimms.

On the pilot episode, he started to see the monster inside regular people he encounters on a daily basis. Then his aunt shows up and told him that he is indeed a Grimm, one who is in charge of stopping evil fairytale creatures who is now in the real world.

His partner, Det. Hank Griffin, knows something’s up but doesn’t know what it is yet.

This series is on its 4th episode. A crime-drama with a fairytale twist and a splash of humor? I am in love.
